Yes it was about 2 hours ago.
Tsont'Ar: Interesting. My suggestion is go back to your ship and wait. I have other business that requires my attention. Perhaps I can stop by your ship tomorrow around noon and we can review what we know. This will let the Police investigation get some initial facts out. I'll have an associate talk to the police.

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3
In Ro'Talth's message he says "I haven't forgotten what you and your friends did to me". What is Ro'Talth referring to?
Also, I would assume that by 'new friends', Ro'Talth is talking about the Sith. More distubingly I cannot sense them. Either they are much more powerful and hiding their presence or working through an intermediary.

"I have no idea what he is referring to in regards to the rest of us. He and Bulwark had an altercation earlier this morning, and during that altercation Syric actually supported him, not Bulwark, so I have no idea what the rest of us could have done.
However now that I take a second to think, if it is the Sith as you suspect, and Ro'Talth went to them they may have told him that they intended to turn Kunga's empire over to him if he would have cooperated, which is likely a lie, however if he wants to believe it I can see where he would then believe that we cost him a criminal empire and that would certainly supply him ample motivation for revenge on all of us."

Well, this isn't a surprise. Forward me that comm from Ro'Talth, Bulwark, so I can get it to Tsont'Ar.

first thing I do is turn all police cameras away from me to ensure they don't know who is doing the hacking. As soon as Slicky gets to a terminal I do the same for him. Then I start working setting up the apb On ro and ra.
Use computer +18 and use a force point to help the roll.
And hopefully have Slick help me a little.

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3
So Leet use computer to hack into the Police and issue an APB on Ro'Talth
1d20[3]+16=19+ 1 force die 1d6 [3]=22
Slick's attempt to assist 1d20[6]+13=19 (assisting is a DC 10 this passes and adds 2 to So Leet's score making it a 24)
The attempt to hack the Police network and issue an APB is failed. You may not try again for 1 hour.

Jax frowns and says "Slick, in the future you shall only follow instruction that involve breaking the law from me. Is that understood?"
"Perhaps Wailer was a bit more 'liberal' in his interpretations of the Order's guidelines, however, you will find that I am not. Is that clear?"

we do things the way they need to get done. Unfortunately the ppl who have kidnapped our friend who is the son of a Jedi and potentially aligned with the people who killed your friend don't play by the rules. So either learn to bend with us or find a way to figure out how to avenge him on your own. Or at least without my expertise.Gandolfini wrote:Jax frowns and says "Slick, in the future you shall only follow instruction that involve breaking the law from me. Is that understood?"

The group makes its way back to the ship and after the password is given Fandango let's everyone in.
"In my searching of the ship I didn't see anything that seemed out of the ordinary or out of place in the areas that Ro'Talth and Ra'Wen frequented. I also took the precautionary measure to examine the navigation system and environmental controls and nothing seems out of the ordinary." He says.

"Jax, in Slick's defense, So Leet was actually assisting the local law enforcement in their investigation. We know by virute of the message he sent to Bulwark that Ro'Talth did in fact murder a man, so by So Leet attempting to put out an APB for the planetary authorities on him to arrest him he was in fact doing them a favor as they would be apprehending a murderer. His methods may not have been entirely within the law, but sometimes in the pursuit of justice you end up having to bend a few rules."Gandolfini wrote:Jax frowns and says "Slick, in the future you shall only follow instruction that involve breaking the law from me. Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3
"So Ro'Talth is probably in league now with the Sith or Sargo, I'm not going to worry about a third option because we have nowhere to start even guessing on that. I agree with Eli's theory about the Sith, it sounds logical and we already know that the Sith wanted Ro' alive. I doubt he would be too willing to work for Sargo since he was the one that set Kunga and him up to take the fall for the kidnapping. Honestly, I don't see this changing much, except now the Sith would know Fandango is with us. We need to focus on finding Jounville. The only question I have is do we try to work with Kitani now that Ro'Talth is alive? We may have better luck if we leave Tatooine all together. I have two suggestions that could possibly be worked together. The first is to head to Ord Mantrell and try to start looking into Tordassium all over again. The second involves working with Votar who had some job to run goods somewhere near the Braxant Run and he would have helped with some ship mods to get by the Sith. Those may be more helpful now, and him trying to get one by on the Sith is encouraging.

I think I may understand why Wailer strayed from the Order. First you start small by 'bending' some rules, then you start to break them 'for a good reason', followed by kidnapping and murder because that is what your enemies do. In the end you become what you hate. This is the path to the dark side and I will not tread this path.Arrican wrote:we do things the way they need to get done. Listen Jedi, we're "on the path" to finding our friend and exacting some vengenace for the death of a few individuals, Wailer included. We could use your help but try not to slow us down with your morals.

You flirt with the Dark Side Eli. I urge, more than the others, to be cautious. "This bicking is pointless right now, we need to stay focused on the task at hand. Since we have some time it might be a good idea for people to take a second look around though, I've had enough nasty surprises for one day and sometimes a second set of eyes can see something the first set missed. No offense Fandango.Blackferne wrote:The group makes its way back to the ship and after the password is given Fandango let's everyone in.

Syric, what would it take for you to and So Leet to change the transponder signal on the ship? If Ro is going to be having his new buddies track us we might as well make it as hard for him as possible as well."

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3
Im not ready to leave the planet until we have everything we need here. We still have a mission to accomplish and we knew it would be risky. I don't intend to run off like a Bothan with my tail between my legs everytime someone scary jumps out of the bushes. , Now, with that being said, our lead on the ore requires 10k credits. He may have been talked to by Ro, he may not, but if 8 of us walk in there with weapons on our hips, he'll be unlikely to take our money and run. And if mr Jax is comfortable with it, he can make sure he isn't lying to us.

You misunderstand my purpose here. I am tracking down the Sith not for 'vengenance' but to stop the spread of of their evil which threatens civilization. I am not a vengeful warrior with a glow stick. If your concern is that my morals will 'slow you own' then you should reconsider my assistance. However, it appears from your past actions, a strong set of morals would serve you well at this time.Whiteness wrote:Listen Jedi, we're "on the path" to finding our friend and exacting some vengenace for the death of a few individuals, Wailer included. Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3
"Guys, look we're all on the same team here. Jax wants to stop the Sith. So do I. So do all of you, because ultimately I believe that it is the Sith and their new battle droids that led to Jounville's abduction. Jounville knew too much, so they took him. Now we have to find him, and in finding him we'll find the key to stopping whatever Sith plot we have now all become wrapped up in. And along the way I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities to crack Sith and Exchange skulls. So lets get our focus back on making that happen.
I'm personally not sure about trying to continue to work with Ro's contact. That could go a couple ways, one of the most important ones being that if Ro is still talking to him then he will know where we are going, and that gives him an advantage. When the time comes to deal with him I'd rather it be on our terms, not his."

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3
I doubt Ro'Talth has spent valuable escape time talking to Kitani - so I don't imagine we'll need to worry about that. And I don't think we need to, nor should we, threaten him - and I agree with Eli. I think we leave that contact hanging, so as not to leave an information trail leading right to us. I need to wait a day to check back with the Fossar office for any leads on Tordassium, and I also think we should meet with Tsont'Ar once more.
However, I think we need to get the hell of this rock expeditiously. I almost wonder if we shouldn't consider selling the Delia for something smaller and faster and NOT the ship Ro'Talth will have the Sith looking for - let's be honest - Aderbrent isn't going to be doing a lot of "shipping" right away.

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3
@Fandango There is a difference between intimidation and violence. I guess your masters forgot to program you with that.
Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3
"Not during his escape no, but Kitani also said it would take him a few days to get the data together. So once he is safely off-planet he could easily msg him saying we double-crossed him and make whatever requests he wanted. There is a small part of me that thinks we should still try because we might be able to pick up on it since we suspect it, and it would show Ro we aren't intimidated by him. Because ultimately Ro'Talth is a gigantic bully. He's full of sound and fury when he feels he's got the advantage with people behind him willing to do the dirty work for him, but the second you turn the tables on him he backs down. That does not mean I don't think he's a threat, it's just something to keep in mind about the way he operates and turning tail immediately could play into his hands.
If it is in fact the Sith that are now backing him then we might actually be better served for the moment to stay on Tatooine as here we theoretically have Tsont'Ar and whatever capabilities he has at our back."
