Interesting. Please do keep me posted. Any interesting background info on Ra'Wen?

Cuspar wrote:Well I'm glad to hear that. So with that out of the way, tell me why you have the suspicions you mentioned to me about Syric.
"Well, As you know, Syric hasn't exactly been playing ball with the rest of the crew. He has threatened or acted out violence against most of us, you included. When Ro' was threatening the crew, Syric stood by and did nothing. When I attempted to stop Ro', Syric joined him and attacked me." Bulwark points to the burn mark on the back of his jacket. "Not long after I got here, I got a private comlink message from him asking to look for Ro'talth. I'm not sure whats up with him. Either he's a genius or an idiot or just can't make up his mind on what side he is on."
Bulwark takes sip from his drink.

"I've been sitting here trying to figure out his angle. And what Ro' would have to gain from allying with Syric. And Syric with Ro. Looking at this from Ro's point of view, he's gone from overseeing a big fish (even if it is in a small pond) to having no support and on the run from two of the biggest powerhouses in the galaxy. Ro' definately wants back into the exchange (he really has no options in the legal world to keep up his lifestyle). Maybe he offered Syric credits in exchange for helping him get back in. But help doing what? At first I thought he was trying to offer us up to the Exchange in order to get back in. But I don't really see that we have a whole lot of value to them. Then it hit me; Fandango. We know the exchange was after Joun for info on those droids. Why settle for Jounville when you can have the very prototype they were modeled after."

"At that point, all the pieces started to fall into place. I overhead a bunch of chatter on the comlink and it sounds like Syric arranged for Fandango to be left alone on the Sweet D. That's the perfect chance for Ro' to get him. My guess is that Ro' is probably back at the ship right now with some thugs he hired off the street and a enough ion rifles to stun a battle cruiser. Now Fandango looks pretty tough, so it's bound to be a bloody fight and it's hard to tell who would win."

Bulwark shrugs, "and honestly, I don't really care which one makes it out of there alive." He takes another sip from his drink.

Bulwark, you've obviously given this some thought, and I can honestly say...

Cuspar downs the remaining half pint of Quarrenese.

You are one paranoid land dweller. But with that being said, I do care what happens back on the ship and you do have me thinking - so I'm going there right now. Feel free to come along, or to sit here and enjoy your delusions. Honestly, I really don't care which you choose.

Cuspar sprints outside and hails Fandango at the Delia.

Fandango, this is Cuspar. Can you read me? What is happening at the ship? You need to lock it down and only open it if the person trying to get in can tell you what the shamen were riding! Do you copy? DO NOT LET ANYONE ON THE SHIP THAT CAN''T ANSWER THAT QUESTION!

Cuspar calls Eli.

Eli - I'm heading to the Delia. I've instructed Fandango to lock down the ship with a password that only an Alvian will know. He is there alone, and would be quite a commodity for Ro'Talth. Standby - I will update you as soon as I hear from Fandango.

@ Cuspar

"As you command. Though I think we may need to set up a definitive answer as to who is in charge and able to make that decision. As I understand it Aderbrent's CEO is Syric Frost and the CFO is Dood Amm'nel. You by company hierarchy lack any authority to make such a command that would deny either entry into the ship should they fail to answer that question correctly. Additionally if we are invoking such a security precaution should I utilize the ships quad cannons to eliminate anyone who answers incorrectly or hesitates?"
Fandango rambles on.

Fandango - we can have that discussion anytime other than now. Do NOT fire unless fired upon, and contact me if anyone comes to the ship before I get there. I'm on my way.

Cuspar gets a taxi to the ship and tells the driver he'll pay double fare for a fast trip.

"Well that's fantastic, but would you care to share that with me, for while Syric and I are together now, if we get separated for some reason I'd rather not be locked out, especially if Ro'Talth comes gunning for any of us cuz he's pissed about the stunt Bulwark pulled and he's got some muscle and decides to take it out on the first one of us he sees."

"Cuspar put the Sweet D on lockdown apparently and is headed back there now. Supposedly it's on lockdown with a password only an Alvian would know. He didn't specify if we were supposed to head back there or if we should continue on to the Bantha. All things considered I think it might be a good idea for us to head back to the ship as well. At worst we get to drop off our new purchases before lunch. Best case is we catch Cuspar there and we can discuss this mornings events in a private setting. Sound good?"

Sounds good to me, but I already asked Fandango to lock the ship up when I left. This makes me nervous, we should hurry back.

On the way back to the ship, Bulwark says to Cuspar,, "We should make sure Syric isn't left alone on the ship. He may be trying to cover up his acts or even assist Ro' should he come knocking on our door, assuming he isn't dead." Bulwark seems very concerned about this.

Bulwark - I'm really not personally worried about Syric - so if you have a problem with him, I think we should just get it out in front of everyone and not have it hanging like a spectre over all of us. He's been very trigger happy, but I don't hold it against him... although he hasn't shot me. So I do understand why you're upset.

As the vendor area is closer to the ship, Eli and Syric arrive at the Sweet Delia first.

"Fandango, it's Syric, open up."

Yes, being shot in the back by someone does tend to sour your opinion of them.

Annoyed, but realizing the futility of arguing with a droid he says, "Buffalo. The Shamen rode buffalo, now open up and tell me what's going on. I have the weapons you asked for.

Fandango opens the ship and explains cuspar's order. He goes further to explain how confusing the lack of a chain of command is. He takes the weapons and thanks you.

"Sorry about that Fandango, we have no real chain of command, I can see where that can lead to confusion. Most of the events of today have been confusing to me as well. Right now I believe the best way to proceed would be to close the ramp, but we don't need to lockdown. If anyone enters the docking bay area that isn't part of Aderbrent Services then lockdown the ship and notify Syric and myself via ships comm. If they are with Aderbrent then please just notify Syric and I via comm and allow them to board. Hoepfully once everyone is back we can clear up what is going on and we can clarify matters for everyone involved."

"Well Fandango, chain of command isn't really a phrase that fits us, most of us have contributed financially to Aderbrent Services, but with Dood off on Bothland I'm the only registered pilot for this ship, so in the absence of a majority decision I'm in charge of who gets in or out, of course I have no authority over you, or anyone for that matter, so I appreciate that you followed the instructions of another Alvian. I do want to warn you again about Bulwark, if he comes back he's not going to be happy to see you've got your weapons so stay on your...toes?

Syric takes a much needed drink from his flask before continuing, "now, why did Cuspar feel the need to lock down the ship to everyone but an Alvian?"

Cuspar's cab arrives at the Delia (please deduct 2X fare for the fast ride).

Fandango, it's Cuspar. The shamen rode buffalo. Let me in.
