Nothing major. Slick thought he saw something interesting in the planned route, but on closer analysis it turned out to be nothing.
Can roll on a Use the Force: Trust Your Feelings checking out the interesting item? If so

Slick informs you that "your fancy pants force powers have failed to locate a faster hyperspace route or deliver a class 2 hyperdrive". He finishes off the text on the viewscreen with a "j/k :P"

After the third time looking over the approach to the villa with the binoculars Dood turns to Bulwark.

"Well, what do you think? My guess is we're going to need an actual plan if we want to get any closer."

Dood hands the binoculars back and takes a draw from the flask he topped off with Syric's whiskey from the infirmary.

Quick question concerning my "use computer" checks, you are using them as gather information rolls right? I'm assuming so based on the information you've been giving me but I just want to double check.

I take all the information I've gathered so far and forward it to the ships computer so the rest of the crew knows about it.

I also want to make some discreet inquiries concerning the purchase of some explosives, either detonite or standard explosive charges. I'd like 2-3 detonite or 2 explosive charges. And enough timers to go along with whatever amount I purchase.

If needed I'll hack the system to show that Aderbrent has some ties to construction work, and I'm the demolitions expert. Use computer +18.

@ Cuspar and Eli

You head out to the Aerotech Swoop Racetrack. The place has a long building where you can place bets, visit various lounges to drink and watch vid screens showing parts of the race track, and there is a monorail to take you out to track stands.

Would either of you like lay wagers on the races in the first hour?

Race 1
Red Swoop 5/1
Orange Swoop 7/1
Yellow Swoop 3/2
Green Swoop 21/1
Blue Swoop 3/2
Purple Swoop 18/1
White Swoop 14/1
Min bet 100cr max bet 1000cr. Bet to win pays 100%, bet to place (1,2,3) pays 75%

BTW how this works is I pulled the odds off a real horse race today and I'm just going to roll some die to figure out the order of the bikes.

I have been using the computer mod. And the information I'm giving you is based on what should be or shouldn't be in the computer databanks you'd know to check or think to possibly check.

You find there is a construction supply company on the south side of the city by the river. They require an ID card, and a letter of authorization from your employer accepting liability for the explosives.

That race I pulled the odds from is later today and I've already forgotten which one. Also I'm making up race betting rules as I go along.

Cuspar puts 100 credits on the purple podracer to place. And then hangs around the betting windows to get a look at the bettors.

Gather information: 5+7=12 [OOC: just awesome rolling here]

Cuspar suggests to Eli that they go out to the track stands just before the race starts.

"You have a deal and a new loyal customer, I'll be sure to spread the word about this fine establishment."

Syric heads to pick up the shaving kit and then looks to purchase a case of ale, not wanting to get too riled up on whiskey quite yet.

Assuming both purchases are routine and uneventful, Syric once again heads to find Klak and So.

Handing a bottle of ale to the Zabrak he says, "Here you go Klak, I don't want you wandering away to look for it yourself, and I'm sure watching the back of So's head is boring the hell out you."

Syric tries to get So's attention and offer him an ale as well, but gives up trying to get a response and hands the second one to Klak as well before heading back to the ship to check in and grab a bite to eat. Once there he checks to see if any messages came in from Wailer and finds So's information instead. Once that and the meal are digested and washed down with a couple ales he waits and thinks on his next action. He then notices his security kit and realizing it could come in handy breaking into the theater he begins to forge documents which confirm his status as the professional security expert for Aderbrent.

Bulwark takes the binoculars from Dood and takes a long look at the compound and surrounding grounds; looking for anything that might prove a useful entry or exit point.

"Well, unless all the guards are blind and deaf, I don't think brute force would get us in. We might could rig a false bottom in one of the delivery trucks if we had too, but that's not much of a plan. And we still don't know what we would do once inside."

Bulwark ponders for a moment, "If we could sell ourselves as Bounty hunters, we may be able to get inside. and be a little more free to walk around. But if the outside is this well guarded, you can bet there are portions of the villa that would be off-limits to us as well."

"Lets meet back up with the others and see if they have any more info. We still don't even know if this is the guy that took Joun. There are too many unknowns to make a plan at this point."

Syric also thinks to add the information he picked up to the ships computer in case he isn't around to discuss it with everyone.
Over the course of a few hours you learn quite a few things. You learn that nobody has seen a Sith military vessel land at the spaceport in over a year. You learn that Kunga has been holed up in his villa/fortress outside of town for a couple months. The place is heavily guarded and any guests have to go through a very very thorough background check. The paranoia is so high that anyone delivering supplies drops it off at a office in the city and it is taken to his place by Kunga's guys. You do hear again that his adviser routinely leaves the fortress to see his mistress or girlfriend (her status is kinda complicated and you get varying reports). His name is Ro'Talth he is a Twi'lek and his mistress/girlfriend is a singer at a local musical theater. She is named Ra'Wen and she is one of the supporting actresses in the show. He never travels around unescorted and apparently his bodyguard detail are a bunch of jerks. Likewise he has two goons watch his girlfriend 24/7. You hear nothing about Jounville. You don't get any information on the Avalon or it's captain Marc Pson't other than 'I think he works for Kunga, haven't seen him lately.' Sargo is just known for his notorious gangster like celebrity ways. Rumor has it a contingent visited Kunga 2 months ago (this was after his boarding up). But they only talked for a few days then left. Kunga's boarding up got tighter after that.

@Eli and Cuspar

Cuspar places his bet on Purple and you guys spread out and wander around the concourse watching the race and watching how the people move about.

The race is pretty exciting. It comes down to the last 1000m for the first 5 racers.

White Swoop got 1st
Red and Yellow tied for 2nd 1 second behind
Blue got 4th 2 seconds behind White
Purple got 5th 3 seconds behind white
Orange trailed at 11 seconds behind the leader
And green limped in 15 seconds being White.

Sorry Cuspar -100

Watching the way the people working there you don't see anyone not wearing an Aerotech Raceway uniform in a place they shouldn't be. Listening to conversations you hear lots of talking about the races, and the racers, who is having a good season and who is not. There is virtually no mention of Kunga or the Exchange.

This place seems... too sanitized for the likes of Kunga. Maybe as the day goes on we'll see if the crowd changes. I wouldn't mind watching the next race in one of the lounges. I'm a bit thirsty. Should we meet up here after the next race, but keep our commlinks ready in case there's trouble?

I'm thinking it might be too small time for him. The races run daily and if he'd be fixing them with regularity then we probably would have heard about it and that would also be putting off the fans, and the group here does seem quite...lively. I agree that we should stay awhile to see if things change, but I'm not anticipating much if anything today. Did you hear any tips on who the locals like in the next race? I'm getting a little hungry and a free lunch is always the best kind of lunch.

I'll accompany Cuspar to one of the lounges and if he or I heard any good tips from the locals on any of the racers in the next race or two I'll drop a 100 credit bet on whoever the locals like to place in those races.
