Certain! Missa can be more than happy to meet him.

No it was the same casino, you even specified.

You are led back through a long maze of back halls, elevators, and windowless rooms on your way to Mr. Eshan's office. Like your friends before you, they take any weapons and commlinks you have and seat you in a chair in front of Mr. Eshans desk. Slowly turning around Mr. Eshan looks at you and says. "You are having one hell of a night, aren't you? What's your name?" He smiles big.
That is true. That last had was really lucky. Usually I don't win my last hand. Wailer breaks out his biggest smile.

"Luck is one thing, cheating is another."
Mr Eshan motions to your padawan robes "I'm not sure that the Jedi Order would look kindly on such a young member using their Jedi mind tricks to take money from others. My job as the casino Director for Twin Suns Casino, Blue Harvest Casino, and the Dune Sands Casino is to make sure that it is all run above board and honest, and my employers do not take kindly to cheaters. I'm not in a particularly in a good mood at the moment so I'm going to give you a choice. You walked in this evening with approx 5,000 credits. You can walk out of here with that money. OR you can keep your 40k and you give me something I deem of equal value. Those are your choices. What will it be?"

{How many people are in the room? }

Wailer chuckles quietly as his smile fades and eyes narrow.

I did not cheat and did not use a mind trick on other players. Like all the other gamblers at the table, I simply went with "my gut". I have no reason to cheat at Sabacc. I do not need to.

As for the Jedi Order, as I am sure you know younglings are encouraged to play games of chance in order to improve our sensitivity to the force. I find it unlikely that they would care nor give your report much weight considering your ‘organization’.

As for the credits, I do not care much either way but am curious about your offer. Tell me more.

Surprisingly, Wailer's accent completely disappeared.

"At our casinos today you played over 60 hands winning an unusually high win percentage. Not like hot streak lucky, I mean only cheating gets that luck. I can't tell if you are counting cards or using Jedi mind tricks. Either way, I'm not gonna let you use my casino as your personal bank account. As for what is worthy it I'd say your left hand is worth 40k to me. So your choice jerk, you can take you r5k and leave and never come back, or we go in the back room and take a cutting torch to your hand." He says clearly upset.

In the back by the door the two guards are gripping their pistols tightly.

After the fight is called Eli walks across the ring to his opponent.

You fought very well and are extremely talented. My apologies for the nose. I hope it heals well for you and I get the opportunity to fight you again someday.

Eli leaves the ring and heads up to the window to collect his purse and meet the others.

While collecting my purse I sat to Atta He'd talented I hope for your sake you can keep him around. He's got a bright future in the ring.

Then on the way back to the ship for bedtime I say to Cuspar He was good, but I was just a little better. Thank you for wagering for me. Here is your cut of my winnings on the wager, I appreciate you being willing to forgoe your own financial gain to help me out.

I give Cuspar 200 credits from my wager winnings and head to the ship to rest. I'll trance for 4 hours then just rest for another couple before heading out early to get in some cardio and get fruits and milk for breakfast.

Wailer takes a moment, looks down at his left hand and wiggles his fingers. He looks back up at Mr. Eshan and speaks, Wailer's accent returning.

Mr Eshan's will defense is 18 and he is currently unfriendly to you +5 =23. Your Mind Trick beats his will defense.

"I'm just joking." He laughs somewhat confused "But you are gonna taking your money and never come back to a Parsec Gaming establishment. You understand?"

He hands you a small bag with your credits. Your balance is now 40,229cr. They take your picture and feed it into the computer system. You are escorted out of the casino by guards who are not sure how you did that.

As Wailer at his breakfast he thought back on the events of recent days. Obviously he had gotten himself into a bad situation last night. His manipulation of Eshan had been a close thing and if it had failed he would have been forced to kill someone and would have likely died. Or at least lost a hand. Also, while Eshan wouldn’t notice the manipulation, it might make Eshan’s boss suspicious if he ever hears about it. Perhaps Tatooine wasn’t such a great place after all.

That said he felt more alive than he had in all his years at the Academy. He was invigorated by the challenges of the universe around him and he wanted more. However, he couldn’t just walk away from his commitment to Master Jada on this mission no matter how he felt about her. That didn’t mean he couldn’t accomplish his mission his own way though.

Perhaps he should get a ship and head back to Lok to pick up the trail on this Jounville while the others head off to Bryx. At least that way he could get off Tatooine quickly.

After finishing his breakfast and Caf, Wailer heads off to Zeid’s lot.

@Klak thenight was uneventful. You yelled at some kids not to graffiti the walls but that was about it. 100cr earned.

@ Wailer. You walk to Zeid's lot and see the rest of the gang milling about the Blue Dynamic Class Freighter. Zeid's droid informs you he should be in about an hour.

@ Everyone else. It is morning. Those of you with Captain Licenses can pick them up from the BoSS and request an inspection of your ship.

Dood grabs Syric and Klak to head to the BoSS office and then realizes that there are a lot of forms and bureaucratic things to deal with for the ship's license.

"Who here is most familiar with BoSS regs? We need to get a ship's inspection and our operating license and it would be nice if we made sure we cleared all of the hoops on the first try."

Bulwark says to those still at the shipyard, "Hey guys, I'm going to be out of pocket for a couple of hours." He then grabs his credits and heads to the casino.

He heads to one of the tables and sets down 100 credits. After (approximately) 392 hands, he should have 40k in profits. He patiently waits for the visit from the man upstairs.

When he gets in the office, he hands the boss a small piece of paper with several numbers written in table format.

You get escorted to the upstairs like everyone else and are sitting in front of Mr. Eshan just like everyone else. And like everyone else you are disarmed and without commlink when you are led into his office. There are 2 armed guards by the door. Mr. Eshan is behind the desk rather irate.

"Okay I'm going to give you a choice. You walk out of here with the 100cr you set down to start, or you walk out with 40k and I take your left hand. What is your choice?"
Mr. Eshan asks.

"No worries, Mr. Eshan, I don't want your money." Bulwark says with a friendly smile.
"Rumor around town is you have been having a bit of bad luck and some folks have been walking out of here with a it more than they came in with. Now, I'm no casino expert, but that doesn't sound like it's good for business."
"I can imagine this gets pretty frustrating for you, so I came in to see if the rumors were true. After watching a few hands, I figured out the problem and decided to test it for myself. As you can see, it worked out pretty well in my favor. Now, I can assure you there were no tricks or cheats going on. You security experts can verify that I'm sure."
"I think I've figured out your problem, Mr. Eshan. It's your payout tables. This is your current table:
1-4 = -1
5-9 = -.5
10-14 = 0
15-19=2
20-24=5
25+ = 10

Those tables may work pretty good for someone with no real skill at cards, but for even someone with a very basic understanding of the game (ooc: wisdom+1) they win more than they lose.
I propose the following table:
1-6=-1
7-11 = -.5
12-15 = 0
17-19 = 1.2
20+ = 2.5

With this setup, your average Joe will lose is shirt, but only after 270 hands with a 1% bet.
A more experience player would lose out after 400 hands,
A skilled player at 830 hands, and
for someone with exceptional skill at cards (ooc: wisdom+3), they can still make a 4000% profit 75% of the time, but it would take nearly 2 million hands.

This would keep the house in profits, but give the players enough wins to keep them interested."

"Like I said, I'm not here for the money. Just trying to keep you from waking up with a Gurk head in your bead."

"Mr. Migs. I don't know why you have decided to bless me with this golden gift, but I cannot stand to be in anyone's debt." He says sitting up in his chair leaning forward against his desk. "So I will grant you one 'wish'. I can't give you anything you want, but there are plenty of things I can make happen. So I'd like you to name something, or a few thinsg and I'll see what I can get."

Mr. Eshan, I appreciate your generosity. My current employ is to track down an individual. I am expecting that sometime in the near future it would be most beneficial to have someone with your connections. Does this sound like a satisfactory arrangement?"

Mr Eshan grimaces clearly hoping to merely write a check. He taps at a datapad and pops out a datacard. "Here is my contact information. Hopefully I can meet your expectations."
