Klak watches from a bit away as Syric looks to finish playing. He's getting hungry and hopes Syric doesnt have any other business to finish cause getting lunch would be great.
He looks to Syric and says "How about a bite to eat when you are done with that hand? I bet this place has a fine cafe. And we can get a bit of ale as well?"
Klak sits back waiting for Syric to finish his hand. He looks around the room, where is that waitress? He also starts to pay attention to anything going on around him. He may notice more about the inside of this casino or its goings on from a Soldiers perspective.
Perception: Roll(1d20)+7: 12,+7 Total:19

@ Klak Your scan of the casino floor sees the highs and lows of wagering in a busy port city. Nothing seems terribly out of what you'd expect from a casino.

"Lunch and a drink sounds like a good plan Klak, it'll be my treat" Syric says as he waits for his final hand to be played out.
"Maybe you should check in with the others and get some status updates."

After having a large plate of eopie brisket (wet of course), Wailer leaves the casino {what was the name of this casino?} and heads off to the shipyard to find out if So had bought a ship.

Sewzaan smiles and leads you through several aisles making her way to the back of the warehouse where there is a closed door. "The refurb X2Q100 Light Freighter Sublight Ultra room is right through there. Let me know when you find one you like."Bulwark wrote:Bulwark, obviously impressed with his new "jedi" powers, says, "I'm looking for something that would be a good fit for a light freighter."Blackferne wrote:Sewzaan says "Oh you want the special speed sublight engine. Bulwark clicks on his comlink, "hey, I got a pretty good lead on some X2Q100 Light Freighter Sublight Ultra engines. Anyone know if they are any good? Also, what ship did we end up getting?"
Re: The Taris Event Chapter 2
[Just posting to leave a reminder that I also asked So Leet about the ship a few posts back. Arrican is gonna be busy when he gets on!]

open comm communication: "ended up getting a decent used dynamic freighter good enough condition stock model to give us more emplacements. * goes over the basics of the ship from the book* That about covers that. Not sure what we need to upgrade in the ship but for the time being once they move the dealer restrictor we are off the dustbowl kids."

Can I meet you in the shipyard ASAP? I need to make a brief holorecording of the ship. I'll explain later.

Klak listens to the commlinks
And to Syric "Apparently we have a ship, may have some new engines. I think we may want to go see this ship for ourselves."
Klak motions for Syric to finish so they can head to the shipyard.

Bulwarks excuses himself from ‘Sewzaan’s hammocks and Sublight Engine boutique’. He apologizes to Sewzaan on the way out, "I'm sorry, I just got a call from work. I'll need to go take care of a few issues. I trust you will hold those engines for me until I get back. It should not take long."
He heads towards the shipyard, clicking on his comlink, "whats the problem?"

Having had lunch and ale provided to him and his zabrak friend, due to the delay in getting his winnings, Syric agrees with Klak and heads out.

If you're going to go looking for parts bring of the pilots or mechanics with ya, not that we don't appreciate the help, just want to make sure we don't spend 5k credits on a giant blender."Bulwark wrote:Bulwarks excuses himself from ‘Sewzaan’s hammocks and Sublight Engine boutique’. Re: The Taris Event Chapter 2
Cuspar goes to the shipyard and the appropriate ship.
So, I don't have time to explain my clothing, or what I'm about to do - but I need you to record something with my holorecorder.
Cuspar hands So the recorder. (For expediency, I'm going to make 3 assumptions. 1) So will do it. 2) So CAN do it. 3) We record it by the ship with some degree of busyness about.)
Cuspar stands in front of the new ship so that it is visible in the holorecording.
Father, I have news. I realize my departure from Dac was not to your preference, and rather abrupt. I did not leave with the intent of going down the road I have found myself on. The ship you see behind me is mine. I have started a business of my own, with some new colleagues. You'll be pleased, I hope, to hear that it is, in essence, a shipping business. We have secured our first shipment - but it is a pickup shipment on Bryx for return to Lok. Our intent is to provide personalized shipping of precious cargo between smaller planets. I know it is a departure from the enterprise which you have mastered, but something about it has inspired me. I want you to know that my goal is to bring this project into profitability on it's own, and I hope that you will allow me to bring it eventually under the umbrella of Fossar Shipping. My wish is for it to not only repay you in tiny part for all you've given me, but that it is so successful that it's merger into Fossar will serve as a buy-in on my part into the business.
I humbly ask one thing of you. Does Fossar have any shipments headed in the direction of Bryx that you would allow us to contract on your behalf? A running start, as opposed to a long sail with and empty cargo hold to Bryx, would greatly help us meet our startup costs. As to the legitimacy of the business, I can only speak in the highest regards of my colleagues. The son of Senator Amm'nell is but one of the associates, and we have the fortune of Jedi Knight Wailer of Naboo for security. Our business is called Aderbrent Services.
We are preparing our ship for departure from Mos Eisley as soon as possible. I am reachable on my commlink. I do not expect your help, but hope for your blessing. You owe me nothing, Father, but know that you are in my thoughts and even though separated by the great sea of the cosmos, are an inspiration to me in this venture.
With no hesitation, Cuspar takes the recorder from So and transmits it to his father.
Persuasion: 4+7=11. [OOC. Fuck. There it is]
Deception: 14+7=21
Cuspar explains the events of the day to all assembled. [see previous posts - not typing it out again!]. Forgive my embellishments, men. They were necessary to try and sway my father, as well as Tsont'ar. If nothing else, we have a strong connection to Tsont'ar now, and the possibility of a high risk/high reward job. PLEASE know that I do not pretend to own, control or even represent Aderbrent nor do I care to profit from it. I only want to help our friend. As the Quarren bard Brya'n Ad'am'ack'ams said, "I'd fight for him. I'd lie for him. Walk the wire for him. But hopefully not die for him!"
Hopefully, my message finds my father pleased with my "change of heart" and he throws us a charity job.

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 2
@ Cuspar Your message has been sent. Because of time of day, holonet transmission times etc etc you should get an answer at its earliest probably noon tomorrow, later if he delays a bit.
It is officially 5pm local time. In 3 hours(game time not real time) Eli is slated to appear in the Semi-Pro pit fight. Maximum wager is 1000 cr and Eli is listed as 3:2 ie bet 2 credits and you could win 3. His opponent is the underdog with a 3:1 ie bet 1 credit and win 3. Feel free to figure out dinner, sleeping arrangements (the blue print for the type of ship you have is listed on page 81 of the starship rulebook). Klak if you want to take that offer I mentioned it starts at 10pm.

Cuspar would like to sleep in the port dormitory, furthest bed from the door, if it's ok with the others.
I will attend the fight. I will bet all my credits but 50 on Eli. I also change into my "punk" clothes for the fight, and have a basic dinner and drink wherever the group does.
[posting this all with minimal verbosity because I'm going to sleep!]

Olajuwon turns to Strictly as they approach the shipyard "Do you intend to wager on Eli's fight this evening? If so will you wager 25 credits on our friend for me?" {If yes, Klak hands Strictly 25 credits}
"I would love to go, but I have a line in a way to get some credits tonight"
Klak continues to the ship to see the blue beast this group bought.
