The Taris Event Chapter 2
Dood considers his options.
He puts his hand on Klak's back and says, "I think it best that none of us spend too much time in this casino without someone else nearby."
Dood hands Klak 50cr.
"Take this. Sit somewhere near Captain Frost and have a few drinks. If anything happens to him, reach me on the commlink. I think I'm going to go see how our ship acquisition is progressing."
Dood smiles a big smile and then turns on his heel and heads toward the shipyard. Flicking on his commlink he radios Bulwark.
"We have a captain. Heck, we've got three. What's the status on your end?"

"gets Dood on the comms. Got a base dynamic, 18k down, modest payments, and nothing due for 60 days. Come to the shipyard and meet me so we can look it over."
Re: The Taris Event Chapter 2
I would love a tea, Mr. Tsont'Ar. Well, I must say, danger and risk are merely neighbours on the same street. Once we have completed our first projects with Aderbrent, we will unquestionably have assessed our risk tolerance. One of the benefits of this acquisition is that Aderbrent will still maintain some ability to operate autonomously from Fossar. It will have certain roles under the auspices of Fossar, but it's founders insisted on a contractual right to pursue, shall we say, "consultant" services. So, should they wish to investigate a "consultant" role under contract to you, it would be of their own accord. Aderbrent Consulting Enterprises, I believe they are calling it - NOT a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fossar Shipping. Should you wish to contact them at some point, I would be happy to be an intermediary - although I would prefer my new associates to remain... bipedal.Blackferne wrote:@ Cuspar

While he makes his way to the shipyard, Dood makes his usual checks to ensure he isn't being followed. His encounter with Mr. Ehsan has only made him more nervous.

@Dood you are not being followed. Or at least if you are they are extremely good at stealth.
@ Cuspar
"Delightful." Tsont'ar pours tea in a small cup for you. "I'll tell you what, my client has given me some lead time to complete his ultimate task. So I will give you my information on a datacard. If you find yourself in need of work, or perhaps if I think that your company might be of assistance in this or another matter we can contact each other through the holonet." He opens his jacket to pull out a datacard and hands it to you with a nice smile.
Daar comes out from the back. "Here is your suit Mr. Inirv'E. Please try it on for one last pass." You try on the suit and it fits quite nicely. He makes a few minor adjustments.
"See, Daar here is truly an artist who should be in the Core, not out here. But he has family and never accepted my offers to relocate him." Tsont'ar says with a chuckle.
You settle up the tab and now have a nice suit, shoes included.

Cuspar examines the suit in the mirror. It IS very good work - so much so that he feels immediately uncomfortable in it. He momentarily sees a life spent in boardrooms flash before his eyes, and it frightens him. He does looks VERY good though.
Daar - my compliments. This is exquisite work, and I'll be sure to recommend you to all who ask. It's almost a shame to wear such a fine suit in the sand!
Cuspar bows to Daar.
Mr. Tsont'Ar. It was truly a pleasure. You have inspired me even more in my current endeavour, and shown me much hospitality. I'll be sure to keep your information at arm's reach - for the Aderbrent men's possible employ, and for myself, well, I wouldn't pass up another cup of tea with you! May the galaxy be kind to you, until the next.
Cuspar bows deeply to Mr. Tsont'Ar and gives him the locator number for his long range commlink.
Cuspar leaves the boutique, with his leather jacket and fatigues in a fancy tote from the boutique. He is very excited to inform his friends of his chance encounter, and fill them in on the embellishments he told Mr. Tsont'Ar, should they have to play along anytime soon. He also hopes to hear that a ship has been purchased - he thumbs the holorecorder in his utility belt, and contemplates its' necessity in the next phase of his plan regarding Fossar Shipping.

Your search of the city reveals several shops of parts and equipment mixed in the warehouse district. Most specialize in a particular type of system like You are the Sublight of my Life, Hyperdrives R' Us, Bombs Blasters and Beyond etc etc. Which type of shop were you wanting to enter first?

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 2
Bulwark finds his way to a large, yet rundown shop near the east end of the warehouse district. He ducks under the sign for ‘Sewzaan’s hammocks and Sublight Engine boutique’ and is greeted by a rather portly Sullustian female.
“bedding or speed?” she says without looking up, her voice filled with a high nasally whine. Bulwark approaches the counter and waits for her to look up.
Sewzaan, takes off her reading glasses, letting them dangle by the chain around her neck. She looks up at Bulwark with an overly dramatic expression and repeats herself, “Bedding” she motions to the left side of the store filled with a variety of hammock styles, “or speed” she motions towards the large and dusty aisles to the right, filled with the sorts of machinery that look like they have spent a bit too long under the Tatooine suns.
“That depends.” Bulwark replies. “I’m looking for parts that are, how should I say, above the norm.”
Persuasion: 11 + 1 = 12
Sewzaan’s expression of fake annoyance turns into one of real annoyance. She puts her glasses back on and turns back to her reading. Without looking at Bulwark, she says, “Hammocks on the left, engines on the right. What you see is what you get.”
Bulwark leans on the counter, “Certainly an intelligent and attractive woman like yourself holds back a few prized pieces for special customers. What can I do help you sell me one of those?” He says with a smile.
Persuasion: 7+1=8
She sets down her datapad and looks at Bulwark, “I appreciate what you are trying to do, I really do. But we both know you are full of crap and even if you weren’t all the stock I have is on the floor. Now if you don’t mind, I’d like to finish reading this before I close up for the evening.”
Bulwark frowns, obviously his skills in charming are not up to snuff. He then plants his arms firmly on the counter, and says in a stern voice, “Look, I know you’ve got some goods. I want to see them. So get your fat Sullustian butt out of that chair and show me what you got.”
Persuasion: 8+1=9
Sewzaan slams her datapad down on the counter and stands up. She points at the door and says, “My cousin works for The Exchange. If you aren’t out of here in 10 seconds, I’m giving him a call. Do I make myself clear?”
Bulwark lets out a sigh and turns around and heads for the door. After a couple of steps he turns back to Sewzaan. Waving his right hand in front of his face, he says “you will take me to the goods I am looking for.”
