Tony walks into the Mighty Elk and scans the room quickly, he spots Syric and Stavis and heads over to join them at their table, on the way he calls out to Bran...

"Bran, dinner and an ale for Tony Plush please!"

He sits down at their table

"The meeting with the sheriff went well, we've got some new information and a couple leads to follow up. What did you two turn up?"

Syric nods to Tony, "Well hopefully Stavis found more because all I heard were wild rumors. You know, 8ft tall barbarians who drink horseblood and perform human sacrifices. True or not, they don't help much."

[ooc] is everyone here together now?

[ooc]As far as I know. Ham and Gobo were DM whisked to the inn yesterday, you and Stavis were here of your own volition, and Trinal and Spitnik said they were following me so that should be everyone.[/ooc]

[ooc- Spintik, we had decided not to go to the graveyard tonight, so I don't think you'd want to run off on your own. :)]

"The only thing I can add is League of Death has something to do with Drayson becoming a town supposedly. As much fear as there seems to be with the Barbarians none I talked to have from what I can tell first hand experience, so probably more fear driven tells then true factual making it difficult to determine the nuggets of truth."

"Interesting. The sheriff suggested we talk to Drayson as well. Said that Drayson works as an investigator at night for him checking on some of the more spooky threats. The sheriff also said that there has been an increase in graverobbing lately, and that they aren't just taking items from the graves, but the bodies as well.

So Tony Plush is going to ask you this...if you take a cult called the League of Death operating in an area where there are graves being robbed of their bodies, what do you think that means? And those of you who were with at the sheriff's office, no helping them with the conclusion Tony Plush has already come to..."

At the Mighty Elf. I take a table close to gang and quietly order food, drink and a room when bambi or bran stop by the tables.

The Professor hops off his barstool and joins the group at the table sitting besides Victae.

"Greetings. Victae tells me there is trouble afoot. What are we looking at?"

[DM note: I'm gonna let you guys converse and in the afternoon IRL, I'll fast forward to breakfast when Drayson walks in. After you guys talk to him there will be two quest options: 1) Quest for the Sheriff (suggested 5 players) or 2) Quest for Drayson (suggested 4 players). ]

"Root out an evil cult with a side of Barbarian."

[OOC slight to let Joun know my plans since there was going to be a fast forward to morning in there.] When the group calls it for the evening Stavis was going to head to bed to wake up early to resupply and new supplies before the group meet with Drayson but would be ok if when the shops up would mean Stavis would miss meeting with Drayson.

DM hits the FF button.

Dinner, drink, maybe a bit of dueling bards between Stavis and the Professor.

Sleep. Sleep. Sleep.

Wake.

Downstairs as a group eating the morning meal when in walks the obviously tired and looking to possibly be holding an injury on his side Drayson. Characteristic wide brimmed floppy hat and duster like cloak.

"Bran today I'm just going to need the whole bottle. And eggs if you have any." He doesn't take his normal place at the bar but rather sits in a large chair near the fire.

Stavis when he wakes will head straight to the shops to resupply and collect a couple of things he has been looking to get with the money he was paid with, nodding and greeting bran on his way out.

Tony will get up from the table and walk over to Drayson's

"Pardon for the intrusion Drayson but would you have a few moments to discuss some matters with Tony Plush and his companions? After talking with the sheriff last night he suggested we have a conversation as our interests may be coinciding. It regards the destruction a group of followers of the dead god Bha'al, a League of Death and some graverobbing that has occured in the area recently."

Drayson looks up from the fire. "What do you want to know?" He coughs up a little blood.

The Professor upon seeing that casts Majestic word. (Healing surge +4) on Drayson.

"Well, currently here is the short version what we know. Heppil and his cronies at the quarry were stealing goods and marking them with the mark of Bha'al. They also had tattoos on their chest to match the marks as well. They were manufacturing wagon equipment, horse harneses and shovels. They also had a store of gunpowder in their possession as well. To Tony Plush that sounds like a do it yourself starter seige kit. The operation has been put to an end and the gunpowder disposed of.

We came across documents linking Heppil and his people to a Nylock who was said to have recovered a relic of some power recently as well as discussing the recruitment of a 'League of Death' that is supposedly operating in this area. When we reported that to the sheriff he mentioned that there had been a number of grave robbings lately where they also took the bodies from the graves as well. And when you put something called a 'League of Death' in the same location as where corpses are disappearing Tony Plush starts thinking necromancer and his zombie fan club.

Now the sheriff is going to be filling in the Baron on all of this this morning. We intend to investigate these happenings and intend to put a stop to whatever evil is brewing here. Any additional information you could share with us regarding your investigations about the graverobbing or this 'League of Death' would be of benefit."

@Tony"Well I don't know much about Bha'al beyond his cults ability to resurface after being thought extinct for a few decades. Not my area of expertise. I am however..." He coughs again, and takes a swig of the bottle Bran brought him, "I am however an expert you'd say on this League of Death. They don't call themselves that I don't imagine, that's the name given them by outsiders. I am a zealot of Pelor." He fishes out a necklace with the Pelor symbol hanging from it. "Much like your drunk buddy over there[Referring to Ham'mon], I hold a disdain for abominations of the undead. I've been charged with hunting down and exterminating sources of undeath on the eastern shelf. The past two months I've been tracking a Vampire Lord that has setup shop near here. I don't think that your Bha'al guys and the League have hooked up yet, but I can tell you I've seen evidence of a growing mass of strength. Something is coming. I'm not sure what, or when, but there are forces at play here. Anyway I came across a crypt last night. The Vampires have sort of a leadership role among the dead. I found this crypt, and in my arrogance I thought I could clear it out. They got the better of me." He opens his duster to show a wound on his side. "This is a place crawling with evil, that needs to be exterminated. If it is gone, we'll not only rid the area of a den of death, we'll land a blow against the Vampire Lord's bid to gain power. If there is a resurgent cult o Bha'al, if they secure the League's support, it will be a horror show unlike we've seen in millenia." Drayson starts to pick at his eggs.

"Well. That's not good."

Trinal looks at Drayson. "I can confirm that the cult and the League of Death haven't yet hooked up, but the cult is interested in doing so. They consider the League to be dangerous and potentially a wild card in whatever they're up to, if I read between the lines properly."

Tony looks at Trinal

"Agreed. Not good at all.

So it appears we may have two agenda items. Eradicating the evil in this crypt and investigating the 'League of Death'. As hard as it may be to believe Tony Plush is more a man of action than words. If you were to give us the location of this crypt then with your blessing Tony Plush is confident that this festering evil would be eradicated in very short order."

Hearing the word 'abominations' Syric stood up and took a place closer to the conversation by the fire.

"My lady Melora bids me to hunt down abominations like those you speak of. I would be glad to lend a hand in eradicating them"

@Tony "If you can read a map, then this will show you where to go." He hands you a worn piece of lambskin that has been drawn on to make a map of the county. "Here is where I found the Crypt last night. It isn't too far, maybe 15 miles out of town. You could easily walk there. There isn't much on the outside, just a door hidden by some vines near a small hill."

"Were there any traps and what other resistance did you encounter when you were there? If we're going to hit them then Tony Plush thinks we should do it yet today while they are still weakened from your visit last night."

"I didn't come across any traps. I don't think that they've been that weakened to be honest. I was overwhelmed by the numbers and ran after the first bout of melee."

[DM moment] Since I've revealed that mini-dungeons are in play and the vampire one looks REALLY popular based on RP, I feel I should mention the other one has undead stuff too, plus goblins! I'm not selling it am I?[/dm moment]
