"I know what they are capable of it that is what you mean, but as for specific schematics and technical readouts I'm afraid I don't have that. With the processors I have I could draw up a rough sketch, but depending on how they rig the models the payloads could very." Fandango says.
@Whiteness
"Like I said before, Sargo used us to retrieve Jounville as payback for the fixed race scandal. They wanted a reliable and cpaable captain and ship so I sent them Pson't and the Avalon. They met a Sargo operational contact on Corellia to be briefed on the job, and when they were done they were supposed to come back to our normal operation. And last I knew Pson't hasn't reported back. As for where Sargo would have taken Jounville, your guess is as good as mine. The thing you have to know about Sargo is that he is very hard to meet with personally, he has several groups all working for him independent of each other. There are four major lieutenants, each with their own turf and areas of expertise. Depending on who's running this operation would determine where the best place to look was. unfortunately the contact I sent Pson't to was a general agent so I don't even know who is running the operation. But given some time I could probably find out."

Well, Ro'Talth - we're stuck with each other for some time. I assume So can furnish you with some sort of secure computer access, or whatever it is you need to try and track down P'Sont. We'd also like to know details on Sargo's four lieutenants - who they are, where they're based, what their areas of expertise are. Frankly, we all know that there is a power vaccuum to be filled, and knowledge is power. Therefore, you stand to be very well positioned to seize some of that power once you're off this ship. You scratch our backs, and we'll scratch yours. If your scratching helps us find Jounville, then I'd have no problem if our scratching vaults you into a position of power in the Exchange.

"I don't think you understand the severity of my predicament. Yes there is a power vacuum for Kunga's old turf, but if just Kunga had died I could just assume the mantle as the head of his turf. However if the droid is right about what went to the compound, the support team I need to maintain control or grow just went out the window. What do you call a Crime Lord with out gangsters and thugs? A well dressed man." Ro'Talth turns to Goon 5 "Walter, I'll get you set up once we land. I have some money and I know you got a family you must be worried sick about." He turns back to Cuspar "As for Sargo's Lieutenants here is a rundown of what I know. First off any Exchange boss worth his weight has some interest in gaming. Easy money, poorly regulated, too many transactions to track. At the top of Sargo's gaming empire is the CEO of ParSec Gaming, Mr. Bron Junice. He is an older gentleman who used to head his own family, but folded his operations in Sargo when he wanted to semi-retire.
If you aren't making money off games, you make it off of spice. Huge money to be made off the addictions of others. At the head of Sargo's spice operations is Wrotall. He is a legend in the spice trade game. He hands everything from production to distribution. He came up in Sargo's operation with Sargo and has a real nasty demeanor. Sargo often has to hold him back from truly dishonorable acts.
If you don't get money off of gaming or spices, you make it in weapons. Oli Talsuki is who you want. She is one mean old broad. She has two main tasks, run guns and protection rackets. It is said she once killed a business owners mother in front of him to prove a point. She also knows more about regional hotspots and insurgents than anyone else in the Galaxy. If there is a gun wanting to be bought she will try to find a way to sell it.
And the last lieutenant is the whiz kid. He's just known as Montigue. He's the youngest of lieutenants by a lot. Probably mid 30s, but the kid is a freaking genius. He advises Sargo, and works for influence in political and legal areas. If there is corruption involving Sargo, there is a good chance that Montigue is behind it. He doesn't have the bloody mouth that Oli Talsuki or Wrotall does, but if needed he can probably go well beyond them in deviousness."

"If your friend is being held by Sargo, you will need to find out a few things. Which lieutenant was responsible for getting us to take the job, where he was shipped off to, and whether they still have him. There are two methods you can do that. We can try to find Pson't. To do that you can either start on Corellia where he met the contact, who's name escapes em at the moment. Or we can go to Pson't's family on Coruscant, his kids. They might have heard from him more recently that I have. The estranged wife probably wouldn't.Dood wrote:Dood wrinkles the fur at his forehead.

The second method would be to figure out how Sargo will want to exploit this knowledge for his gain. We know that Tordassium is a key piece here for production. We also know that it is pretty hard to prospect the stuff so you have to go to ancillary markets. If you find parts of Sargo's operation trying to manipulate markets or set up resource acquisition that would be a likely candidate. For that I'd head to Ord Mantell or Mos Eisley to track down some logistics agents." Ro'Talth says.

"Well, if it's an secondary product of mining and prospecting then wouldn't it make sense that his spice mining operation would be involved? So then I would say the better lead might be to work on that end and find some of those logistics agents you mentioned and shake them down. You say there are some in Mos Eisley? I know you aren't fond of the desert Cuspar, but I think Tattooine might be an excellent distination for a variety of reasons."

We may need to end up on Tattooine sooner rather than later. So here is what I suggest. Allow me to contact Tsont'Ar. With the incentive of information about these Sith droids, perhaps we can have him do some preliminary legwork for us - in advance of us coming there to share the information with him, and perhaps, if Fandango will allow it, letting him examine a processor. I can also see if there is any information on Tordassium to be had at the Fossar Shipping Tattooine office. While some of us look into that side of things, others can secure us some new weapons - namely, ion weapons. If Tattooine is a dead end, it's not outrageous to move to Coruscant or Correlia.

I think the information of their existance should be enough to satisfy him for now, we can promise to deliver a processor to him to study if we happen across any more, but we don't have to follow through.

The next day while we are still in hyperspace I'm going to try to catch Fandango and So Leet together to ask Fandango if in his bag of ion tricks he has any anti-droid melee weapons, or if he knows of any. If he does not I'll ask So if he thinks it would be possible for him to convert a stun baton into an Ion Baton and if so to let me know what he'd need and I'll get the parts on Tattooine. If we're going to be tangling with more Sith super droids I want to be ready.

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3
Probably the easiest approach would be to modify a stun baton, make stun dmage=ion damage and go from there. But Fandango isn't a melee guy so no ion club for you in his bag.Furiel wrote:The next day while we are still in hyperspace I'm going to try to catch Fandango and So Leet together to ask Fandango if in his bag of ion tricks he has any anti-droid melee weapons, or if he knows of any. A stun baton, an Ion pistol (to disassemble for the Ion transdoohickey), a toolkit, and about 10 hours.Furiel wrote:Ok, so then on to option B - can So Leet do that, will he do that, and what parts would he need to make it so?Blackferne wrote:Probably the easiest approach would be to modify a stun baton, make stun dmage=ion damage and go from there. Tordassium is a natural isotope found in wide variety ore shale but generally in small quantities. In processes where the ore is being processed into steel, durasteel, titanium, aluminum etc etc, the tordassium is considered a waste product and destroyed in the refinement process. There are no known (the theory obviously you have new information not found in studies) profitable applications for tordassium. The properties of the mineral generally can be found in greater degrees in other metals. For example if you are looking for a durable metal with a good degree of malleability you would favor bauxite which can be processed to make aluminum. If you want more strength you would favor an iron derivative. If you want conductivity you would prefer gold or silver. Part of the problem of practical exploration of tordassium is the lack of sizable quantities. In one metric ton of any given ore shale mined for manufacturing metals you might get 5-10 grams of tordassium. This makes the harvesting of the isotope compound extremely expensive when weighed against the practical uses of the rest of the ore shale. Occasionally geologists have found 1-10kg samples of tordassium, but those are generally used for educational purposes and not used in proper metallurgical research.Arrican wrote:"Now you were mentioning a rather rare substance which is used to make these chips. Tordassium, right?Knowledge: Phys. Sci. - 21 (Total)

The processors use a unique hierarchical design you have not seen before. The arrangement of components is different than established norms for industrial computational and droid production in the known galaxy. Looking at the base code you see that it is in a programming language you do not recognize. The best example I can give is imagine you knew how to program in Java using English based arguments. Now imagine looking at program written using FORTRAN but the arguments where in Hindi. Despite these drastic differences the input/output slots are adapted such that they could interface with off the shelf droid components. Fandango mentions that the programming language is derived from ancient Sith in syntax, but even he has difficulty making full sense of it.Arrican wrote:"Now let me look at one of the chips. I have no problem with you monitoring my work Fandango, and if you wanted to assist me to get some of the understanding of this chip, I'd appreciate it." Knowledge Technology: 28 (Total) Use computer: 28 (Total)
Just a few plot points you mixed up that I want to correct so as to not allow confusion. The person you refer to as the spice guy is Wrotall. He works for Sargo not Kunga. Ro'Talth (who you rescued) worked for Kunga not Sargo. The Exchange which both Sargo and Kunga were members of, is like a Chamber of Commerce of Crime. Independent organizations looking out for collective interests.Arrican wrote:"Also there is all this talk about the the lieutenants. Also Wrotall is into the Spice trade which is Star Wars slang for drugs. This usually comes off synthetic or organic production means. It rarely would involve mining operations. What Ro'Talth was talking about when it comes to the mining/ore guy is that the Exchange has some experts who they work with who can come in and provide real legit business know how into fields they don't normally operate. Ro'Talth suggested that you find one of the experts in the mining field to get some leads.
Now to your specific action. Your knowledge confirms what Ro'Talth says, but you don't know any names in particular in Mos Eisley for this given field of work. Given time at a dataport when you land you might be able to locate one, but I'd imagine Ro'Talth could probably be faster at it given he is in the Exchange. This expert may or may not be related to Wrotall's operation(or anyone else's), but you won't know that until you start asking questions.
You get the droid more or less function except if needs a processor. And while Fandango has 11 processors on him, he will not let you have any for your droid.Arrican wrote:"And Eli, once we get our hands on the parts for the conversion of the baton, I can easily get that fixed up for you.
