Welcome to the Church of Alvis. As we are reforming from previous mmos we have a two track system for application to the guild at this time. If you were a member of the church in SWG or EQ2 please post and let us know what name you were playing under in that game and what name you applied for the guild under on the SWTOR Site. If you are a new applicant please answer the following three questions as thoroughly as you can.
1. What is your name?
2. What is your attraction to the Church of Alvis?
3. Please describe in detail your favorite gaming moment. This should be a good story not just a one liner like "I beat Mario, the credits rolled. It was awesome."

It's understandable. You can't allow too much awesome in the group or you might create a singularity.Whiteness wrote:I'm pretty sure you're why we have to have themDood wrote:God I'm glad I got in before we had standards.Blackferne wrote:3. So random highlight from the wedding I was at this past weekend. My sister-in-law was chatting with my girlfriend and then yelled at me, "This woman is fucking awesome!"
To which I replied, "I know! I'm awesome."
Additionally all of my nieces and nephews refer to me a "Uncle Awesome" and one was asking me the other day if it's true that I only eat awesome food and what happens if I eat food that isn't awesome. I told him that when I eat food that isn't awesome, it becomes awesome by the transitive power of awesome, which he can look up in my upcoming book, "The Physics of Awesome."

I will concede your ability to appear awesome to young, naive beings and those that have consumed large quantities of intoxicants.Dood wrote:Additionally all of my nieces and nephews refer to me a "Uncle Awesome" and one was asking me the other day if it's true that I only eat awesome food and what happens if I eat food that isn't awesome. A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn. - Edmund Blackadder

Re: ATTENTION APPLICANTS: PLEASE READ FIRST
IIRC my character names and histories corrected Leth ran around with an Austok in SWG too, however I don't think Leth was ever in Alvis in SWG so Austok wasn't there either. The name rings a bell anyway, however the time he would have played in EQ2 with Alvians would have been mostly post split and he would have been on the Roughnecks side.Blackferne wrote:Looking for confirmation so I know where to rank him.Austok wrote:Hey played EQ2 with you guys

They say when you go on a quest for vengence to dig two graves. They underestimate me.

Re: ATTENTION APPLICANTS: PLEASE READ FIRST
Yeah, Austok and Leth went on a lot of the hunts back in SWG. I know Leth even moved to our town on Lok, not sure about Austok, but he did play EQ2 with the Roughneck crew.

Re: ATTENTION APPLICANTS: PLEASE READ FIRST
So here it is....we have come full circle, i remember the days of guild fun like Rancor hunting and drunken face punching! Funny thing is the Church was my first guild and honestly i have to say no other has been close to what we once had. I would love again to be a member of your ranks and call myself a Drunken Vengeful SOB.
I have applied on the SWTOR using the name Yajredneb, I'm still in the air about my new game name but i will update you as soon as i know.

1. It's Androo from .:ION:. (your bestest buddies). I had a couple of other toons on Scylla but they will stay a closely guarded secret to my grave. Hey! It was a galactic civil war wasn't it?! Suffice it to say, I never cheated, stole, or played outside the game mechanics to help win battles.
I'm going to try and get Droo for my SWToR name. My last name in SWG was Hypersonix and that name is not coming with me - I hated that name so much after a while - but it was too late to reroll. I have to start thinking of a new 'legacy' name soon.
2. I always felt you guys game the way I do - both feet in, show the elitists the hand, and hold a beer with the other hand. I just loved playing Imperial too much, had too many friends on that side to leave them, and loyalty is probably more important to me than 99% of the unwashed public.
3. Favortie gaming moment. Hmmm. Soooo many and by far mostly on SWG. I would have to say it was the Bestine v. Anchorhead nightly free-for-alls of the first summer on SWG. I know of many people that made sure they got home from work and fed the kids so they could log in that summer and play SWG. Yeah, so many things sucked in the game but so many things were great - it was the biggest sandbox we had ever played in. I guess in WoW it was downing Arthas(the credits rolled. It was awesome.) the first time with a fun guild, but not a very good raiding guild. It took us perhaps 30 tries(an entire summer) to stay out of Defile.... we did a lot of shots(Captain Morgan Spiced Rum was my choice) after that.
Most people in WoW know me as Droo(even though that wasn't my main toon) but it's so easy to say in Vent/Mumble
