Cuspar wrote:I doubt Ro'Talth has spent valuable escape time talking to Kitani - so I don't imagine we'll need to worry about that. And I don't think we need to, nor should we, threaten him - and I agree with Eli. I think we leave that contact hanging, so as not to leave an information trail leading right to us. I need to wait a day to check back with the Fossar office for any leads on Tordassium, and I also think we should meet with Tsont'Ar once more.

However, I think we need to get the hell of this rock expeditiously. I almost wonder if we shouldn't consider selling the Delia for something smaller and faster and NOT the ship Ro'Talth will have the Sith looking for - let's be honest - Aderbrent isn't going to be doing a lot of "shipping" right away.
Ok, things are getting muddled again, let's just take things one at a time. Kitani. How do we want to proceed? If we work with him as intended we need credits and we have to be here in three days. Is there a concern that his relationship with Ro'Talth could be a big enough of an issue to not work with him? Let's answer this first.

@Eli I don't think it would take very long at all, but So's the specialist.

[ooc - seriously, I think we need to answer one concern at a time before we all bring up 3 different options on how to proceed]

As you guys argue into the evening Syric receives a comm call from Kitani.

One other thing, I would like to hit the morgue just to make sure that it is not Ro'talth. He could have had a failsafe set up to automatically send that text if he died, just to get the last laugh. Id like some company, and preferrably not the Toaster or Syric." He says, rubbing the lightly charred spot on his back. "Cuspar, will you come with me...and bring your gun?

[ooc - I need a timeline update, was it noonish when we were in the Bantha before going to meet Bulwark then left for the ship?]

Reply to Kitani, How many friends are you talking about, 2 or 20?"

To everyone Well, it looks like Kitani has set the ball rolling first, he wants to talk in a public place and says he's bringing friends to keep it civil.

It was around 1pm at the cantina. I'm just fast forwading a bit as "argue time" in the afternoon. It is probably aroun 5pm now.

Kitani: "I'm bringing four. If you bring more than that, which is your right, I'll walk and we'll have to reschedule. But I'd like to meet sooner rather than later. Please tell me where."

"Well isn't that convenient. I don't like it at all. This has Ro'Talth written all over it. He's either trying to draw us out to ambush us or trying to draw us away from the D so he can try to swipe it an Fandango. How do we want to play it?"

[ooc: if it's been several hours of "argue time" as you put it can we all make perception rolls to search the ship for bugs and explosives, there's no way we would have spent all that time just talking and not making use of that time to ensure our safety as well]

@Kitani What's the rush, you said it would take 3 days, and I don't know why we need friends to discuss business?

@ Everyone, Any suggestions on where to meet with this guy? He's bringing four men with him and will walk if I bring more.

Yes. No bugs or explosives that cannot be explained as part of the crew's possessions exist on the ship. So Leet's scan of system reveal no tampering as well.

"What's the rush? Do you not follow the news feeds? The guy who vouches for you shows up dead shortly after you leave my office this morning. Before I do anything with you, I need to know a few things about who I'm dealing with. Because right now I'm scared a bit, and need a little hand holding."
Kitani says with a quiver of fear in his voice.

I share Eli's concern, I think I'll go with one person, the rest stay here and guard the ship and the droid.

@Bulwark, Listen, I don't agree with what you did, but I can see now you ultimately had the same goal as everyone here, you just went at it the wrong way. I want you to come watch my back from a distance and keep everyone informed on what's going on. Either he's on the level and I can work with him, or Ro'Talth is behind it and if so I'm hoping he remembers I tried to stop you.

@Kitani I thought you knew Ro'Talth, I wouldn't think something like this would surprise you. Give me a minute to think of a good place to meet.

@Everyone, On second thought, maybe he is genuinely afraid...but of what?

Did anyone catch the name of that little tavern with the outdoor seating not far from here? I want to meet him outside.

"While I appreciate everyone's concern that I need to be protected, I would offer that I be able to go. When I'm wearing all my clothes I am never thought of as a droid, at worst people think I've got synthetic limbs and I was badly injured in the past. I offer my services as protection Mr. Syric Frost." Fandango says.

That's five of us... Unless Fandango is lingering slightly away. And perhaps Jax doing the same would be prudent... If he is willing, that is.

"If he's genuinely afraid then the obvious answer is he's afraid of us. He's afraid that we killed Ro'Talth after the introduction and he's concerned that we'll do the same to him because he may think that we are like the Sith, who will destroy something when it's no longer of use. So if he is geniunely afraid of us, then you need to go there and convince him that we are not a threat and that we did not kill Ro'Talth."

"10.000 credits is a small price to pay for his information if it is valid and leads us to Jounville. I'm thinking what might be prudent would be to have Syric, Cuspar and Jax if he's willing, go to meet Kitani. If he's truly afraid we are going to kill him then presence of a jedi in our group should quell that real quick. And if it's a trap then Jax is already close where he would be most effective in combat. Bulwark, Fandango and I can be skulking nearby and watching your backs so if it's a trap we will be right there to help out."

@Kitani, The Setting Suns Bar and Grill in one hour, I won't bring more than four with me

Eli, that's what I was thinking, but maybe he knows more about the Tordassium then he let on. Maybe he knows who's after it and he understands why Ro' and himself could be targets.

Fandango puts on his baggy shirt and pants, wraps his head in the scarf and goggles, puts on his long coat and wide brimmed hat, puts on his gloves, grabs his two heavy blaster pistols and satchel but leaves the rifles here on the ship. "Eli would you care to join me for dinner?"
