1. When are we planning on moving?
2. Are we migrating anything?
2. Are we migrating anything?
Spelt chick it fur putties!
Re: Moving
1. Not sure.
2. Nope. Because we have soem technical issue with moving from phpbb2.x to 3.x, and also we have so much 0ld baggage we don't need. EQ2 threads? No way. And half of the really olf threads on the old forums are corrupted with no posts anyway.

Re: Moving
yeah maybe do some kind of copy paste make into a play of a great thread or two before jimer nukes it. But yeah it needs to be buried.
Re: Moving
Forums are like African swallows, except they are non-migratory
They say when you go on a quest for vengence to dig two graves. They underestimate me.

Re: Moving
Well, I volunteer Vesp to try out Drag Queen
Start me out at the top then maybe we can move me down group by group for a full functionality test?

Re: Moving
Ok, I see 3 forums section with 3 forums in the public, 4 in the church only and 2 in the basilica. I only saw the 3 public prior and as we know I could post replies and new before my permissions were changed.
And I can make/post in the basilica at cardinal, so that seems to be working fine.
You can drop me to Bishop now
And if you can see this then the edit function appears to be working normally

Re: Moving
What did you think you should have been able to do that you weren't allowed to as a registered user? Is there anything as cardinal you think you should be able to do that you can't? I haven't given anyone moderator privileges yet, that will come later.

Re: Moving
As a registered user, nothing. I think that was set right for that level. You can see and post in the three public forums and that's it.
One thing we might want to setup though and test now while we are still in alpha development on the forums is a raid forum that non-alvians can post in. Assuming we have a separate forum section for raids and raid info. The reason for that being that we may find ourselves in a raid alliance of some kind, and if so, then we need somewhere that alliance members can post raid info in that isn't just the general pages at the top.

Re: Moving
User group Friends of Alvis has access to The Pub. We can drop that into having sub forums for joint raiding or whatever.

Re: Moving
Regular users should not be able to upload images.
Re: Moving
Odd I can't see what you uploaded either.
Gonna go kill that ability.

Re: Moving
Now I don't have the attachment option at all.
I DO think that members should be allowed (depending on what your bandwidth/storage limitations are)... just not AltarSquids and "general" members. I believe it's configurable per forum as well... it's honestly been a while since I configured a forum I forget what all can be done (phpBB3 has been out for like 4 years )
There's a mod called HighSlide JS that I highly recommend as well.
