Here's the basics if you want to join us in Minecraft!

* We're running vanilla Minecraft 1.8. You'll need an up to date copy of Minecraft.
* No hacked or pirated clients. All players must have a legit copy.
* The server requires you to be whitelisted. You must be known to the members of the server (i.e., a member of the Church), or be vouched for by a member in good standing who can assure us you won't do something jerkish.
* No griefing. We're running vanilla Minecraft, so there's no locked chests, no security on stuff- it's all on the honor system, and we're VERY careful about who joins us because of that.

It should be accessible now. The server was never down, but DNS might have gotten flaky as I'm moving hosts.

getting some rubber-banding and lag tonight. Probably a config issue with the new host.

I didn't change server hosts, just DNS. The server's still running where it always did. The connection problems earlier were because I changed my primary DNS server and the zone file didn't get published before the old DNS host stopped being authoritative.

I'll check the server, see what's going on.

Hey thanks! I popped on for a bit, having only played like 3 days of single player the rail cart think is amazing. (I am amusingly ignorant about this 10 year old game.)

Things that happened to me:

I got murdered by one of those midget zombies twice in a row almost immediately after leaving fenced areas.

I aggroed a creeper right near the gate of the little Village and it blew up some of the stone fencing, a bunch of sand and one of the gates. I think I rebuilt it at least functionally correct, but it was the one immediately to the left of the the cart track as the cart arrives, feel free to adjust. In so doing I learned about redstone torches and pressure plates.

I borrowed some shears from Staris's sheep area and stole some wool to make a bed. I also nabbed like 50 eggs by being close to the duck cluster, but I put most of 'em in their storage chest.

I made a little cave. It's in the mountain a little ways off to the right of the rail track as you look away from the village where the cart arrives.

No worries on borrowing my stuff. I haven't played in a while and anything I'm unwilling to share is stored seperatly and noted so if you need anything just make sure things are replanted if it can be.

I actually put the shears back, even. I think it was the same box I got 'em from, but you have a LOT of shears in a LOT of boxes

Hey Skiggity. Left you a present. Welcome to the server.

There is an iron farm just above you on top of the mountain. Use the iron (and other farm goods) to trade with the villagers for gems. When the like you they will have a lot of good stuff to trade with you for gems, including diamond gear and weapons.

I discovered that iron farm at the start point today, that's insane. Already mined some diamonds beneath my cave, I'll be sure to check for any ticking packages too! I'll for sure check out the top of the mountain. My daughter went ballistic over the BB-8 and she loved the ghoul farming operation too, when they get flushed down the pipe.

Is the Iron Farm on my mountain cloaked? I assume it'll look like a building of some kind? Might have the wrong mountain! My little spot has a sign saying "Skiggity's Cave" but it looks vaguely mini-castle-ish from the outside. I'll poke around!

The iron farm is right next to spawn.

I think I may have not found your cave then. I follow your directions and found a cave about half way out one of the mountain sides. Nothing but torches in it though. Sorry.

Sorry about this. I went looking for your castle cave and did not find it. I placed the chest for you in the village church if you wish it.

Haha, thanks! I'll go hunting tonight. I actually put a torch path from the village to my cave-stle to help any future travellers, when I get really saucy maybe I'll put a cart track spur in there. To be clear, it's the village past Staris's big tower. I put a sign at that station too last night.
