I added the bonus Feat to Skills-> Perception, boosting it to 13.

I did something similar and added Skill Focus: Stealth, which is why Dood's stealth bonus is +14.

I mean if I introduce a character like Captain Hortell you can't have him responding in your post "Oh but of course here is my evil and sinister plot, and I'll be highlighting the weaknesses" But if you want to give the Barkeep a name and do some chitter chatter I can run with that, especially if I want to make the barkeep provide game progression.
