Wailer begins searching the cargo hold looking for something out or place. He has no idea what he is doing here and is beginning to question Master Jada's decision to send him on this mission.

<insert montage of a meticulous search of the ship where panels are removed inspected and replaced here>

The next 24 hours are a whirlwind of activity. Every panel on the ship's interior is removed inspected and replaced. Dood and Eli don suits and spend over 18 hours walking the exterior of the ship looking for anythign suspicious. So Leet scours system after system for nonstandard or Arillius modified coding. Syric and Arillius help create new identifying beacons for the ship and a new identity for Arillius.

The search turns up 4 bugs. Two of them are found on the external parts of the ship. One is found in the cockpit and another in the main crew room. The curious part of the bugs is that none of the four are the same. The exterior bugs are simply ship tracking beacons, but of vastly different designs. The interior bugs are covert audio recording equipment that take and stores audio for retrieval later by short wave radio access.

"Well that is even more concerning." Arillius says as he looks at the four bugs all laid out on the table. "That one" He points to the one found in the crew room "matches what we saw in the church. And it has similar design elements to this one" Arillius holds up one of the exterior ship beacons. "But these other two while similar to each other are nothing like these."

"So this is where we need to make some hard choices. Do you guys want to find Jounville, am I bigger danger to you by sticking around if you do, and where should we go next?" Arillius says slumping into one of the crew chairs. "And Syric, what is the final backstory you cooked up for me again?"

Dood looks up at Arrillius from his position, splayed out on the floor, where he has been since extracting himself from his spacesuit.

Let's look at the facts. It would appear some criminal organization is in possession of Joun. Meanwhile, the bloody Sith are looking for him as well and are willing to kill for him. Someone else is either interested in us or in finding Joun because someone else is tracking us too. Either that, or the same people that HAVE Joun aren't sure they'll get whatever they want from him and are hoping that we'll lead them to whatever it is they think he has.

He went somewhere recently before all of this went down. Unless the Cerean was able to pull that off of his heap of a computer, we're going to have to go back to Lok to find out where that was - though without knowing why I don't know how much good that will do us.

Our alternative is to find this Hutt and try to negotiate Jounville's release somehow, though even once we get his released, we have at least one if not more parties interested in reacquiring him from us.

Syric hands Arillius his new ID tags and begins to layout his new identity.

Rowan Dusat, former moisture farmer from Ord Mantell. He's a single man with no living relations who tried to make a living keeping up the moisture farm his uncle had left him after he died. Rowan had grown up on Ord Mantell, first in the care of his uncle, who was the only parent he had ever known, and then alone in his early twenties when he came home to find his uncle's charred remains at his front door. Rowan may have had some talent, but not when it came to moisture farming which had managed to put him in debt to many parties. After a few bad seasons made worse by theives and bandits, Rowan sold the farm to pay off as much as he could. The remaining debt was paid from a loan from the local farm collective/small-time crime syndicate which he became indentured to. Time favored Rowan, and he now finds himself with his freedom and his own crew, running jobs and taking care of 'issues' for the syndicate. Your latest task is to escort one Syric Frost as he travels to various destinations that he may choose, him being a spoiled nephew of a influential and highly regarded syndicate leader.

"So I'm a deadbeat farmer turned galaxy tour guide?" Arillius rolls his eyes "I've pretended to be worse. I do have to say these tags are some mighty fine work son. I don't know where you learned your craft, but there is some big business in identify forging if you want me to hook you up after all this."

"So Dood seems to want to go to Lok. What about the rest of you?"

I think So'Leet said the connections on Lok were too slow to get much else out of there. I'd like to get to know more about this Hutt and pay him a visit.

"Is that really necessary? Isn't there some sort of universal ship registry or something like that we can access from Coruscant that would have that information?"

"And Dood, I think you missed one possible player, the Republic. Whatever Joun found has both the Exchange and Sith Empire after it, so if whatever it is is that important to 2 major galactic powers wouldn't it stand to reason that the third might be aware of it and interested as well, and they are just taking a less confrontational approach to observe?"

"Just to clear the air on something, I said Coruscant as our destination in case we were being tracked, bugged, or the Lok Spaceport had people watching us. I mean we can go there if we want, but I just picked out a destination from my head, not as any sort of thought as to where to actually go. That said if we do go to Coruscant we could get Wailer a new lightsaber, and we might have better resources to check out Joun's activities. But we could also get that possibly from the Spaceport records on Lok. And there is always Kunga the Hutt if that bit of information meant anything." Arillius chimes in. "What might be handy is if you guys picked a person to be lead investigator. I don't know how much longer I can hang with you guys if Syric's ID tags get compromised, or I slip up somehow I might have to bail and go into deep hiding."

If the Republic's trying to find Jounville then I wonder why neither I nor Solumnus have heard about it. Even the Gungan claims that it was Joun's mother and not the Jedi Order that sent him.

Dood ponders for a second.

If the Republic is trying to find Jounville or whatever he was looking for or found, then that might help us. Perhaps we can gain some insight on this mess from connections that Solumnus or I have. I'm wary though of going to Corusant after saying we were going there for the whole world to hear. Perhaps some of us should head to Corusant via means other than this ship. The others can stay with Arrillius to search for other leads, maybe.

"Ok guys, let's stop a second and take a look at what we know and what we need." Syric says before he takes a sip from his flask. Looking at Klak staring wistfully at his own empty mug, Syric passes the flask to the Zabrak and begins counting off on his fingers,

1. One of the goons who grabbed Joun had a tattoo that seemed to be the marking of Kunga the Hutt, minor exchange boss operating out of Bryx
2. The Sith are actively looking for Joun and now have the security feed. They may have the same thoughts as us and already be on their way to Kunga.
3. If we're going to find out anything new about Joun or Kunga, we're going to need access to a decent system for So Leet to do his magic.
4. Also, Arillius needs to keep a low profile after the incident on Lok. We don't need Captain Hortell putting two and two together.
5. And like the old man said, Wailer needs a new glowstick.

Syric puts his hand down,"...and now we have to figure out if and how the Republic fits into this mess he sighs.

Pass that back when you're done Klak

So when tracking in the woods the best way to lose the tracker is to make your trail disappear. If you are really smart about it you can not only obscure your trail, but lay a false one for the tracker to follow as well. It would seem to me that this might be applicable to our situation. We have people trying to track us, or more specifically Aurillius, so maybe it would be wise for us obscure our trail by:
1) not going to Coruscant
and
2) parting ways with Aurillius and Eoc
Aurillius and Eoc, if willing, could lay a false trail so prying eyes are looking elsewhere while the rest of us do the real work of locating Joun and once we have Joun secured we could then contact them to let them know he is safe.
That would take care of point 4.
For points 1 through 3 and also 5, is there anywhere on the way to Bryx, or at least not that far out of the way, that we can accomplish those points?

Eoc looks at the nav computer terminal display on the wall of the crew room and adds "We are in the middle of nowhere, but the closest place of any interest would be Tattooine. There is a sizeable spaceport there in Mos Eisley. It shouldn't be that hard to stop in, get transport to Bryx if you are headed there, or Coruscant or Naboo or Nar Shadaal or anywhere really. Hell there are even some salvage yards who sell refurbished ships for cheap if you guys had the money."

tapping the bottom of the flask for the last drop, Klak tosses it back to Syric. "Thanks for that, Im just not me if Im not praying to Alvis, know what I mean?"

Rubbing his stub of a horn, "Im not opposed to Mos Eisley. I got a tavern owner that will fill up this tapping his travel mug for free as often as I can drain it."

Looking to Eli, "So how abouts we let these two blaze a false trail to Coruscant where Arillius or Saul or Whatever can find plenty of cover and we take our merry band of misfits on to dustier pastures"

"So Leet, I may even be able to help you find some old terminals on Tattoine to use. Im practically a hero to many there!", always a braggard the Zabrak settled back into his chair and waited for anyone that would challenge his claims or finally decide what to do, the booze on this cruise was starting to run thin.

We're not getting any closer to finding Joun sitting on our thumbs, let's head for Mos Eisley and see if we can find out more about Kunga or Joun's last known wherabouts before he was picked up. Syric states with an edge of frustration in his voice as he catches the flask.

Once there, we can decide our next steps.

"If Mos Eisley is where you guys want to go, I guess that's where we should head off towards." Arillius says walking out of the crew room and towards the cockpit.

A few minutes later the familiar hum of a ship making the jump to hyperspace and gentle vibration of he ship start up. The travel takes approximately 24 hours and you all sleep in shifts due to the YT-800's design for seven passengers. Arrival at Mos Eisley is hectic compared to the small and slow feel of Lok. While not as busy as Core world spaceports like Corellia, it is clearly a major hub of traffic for the interstellar routes. The air is dry and warm, not hot indicating it is probably fall or early spring for this part of the planet.

Arillus lands the ship in docking bay 94 and pays the normal docking fees, and gets the standard fuel and maintenance check on the ship. This will take approximately two hours. The Spaceport has a wide variety of species walking back and forth with repulsorlift carts carrying supplies to be loaded, unloaded, sold, and bought.

"I only have a short bit of time, but I want to get you guys started. Meet me in the Dusty Bantha Cantina near the trade district in an hour." Arilius says as he and Eoc ride speeder bikes off the ship and out into the city.
