OOC: Maizan is 6'8" tall and about 320lbs. His class is fighter/tank.

This is a very good place. Although I have not done the secret handshake or learned the official walk yet, I would be happy to join your team. If it is ok, i will take room 2. Would we be able to setup a training area maybe outside behind the kitchen?

OOC2: What is the layout of the outside area? Does the front entry way exit onto the street? Is there sheds or stables?

OOC3: What town/city are we in? Elvish? Dwarfish? Human? Above ground, below ground? Thanks.
At one of the meals or gatherings, Mazian will inquire to the team. These people seem impressed by your group, What have you guys been up to and what let you to these peoples helping you out so much? ooc: a brief history/recap of the group.

There is a small backyard, not much room before the next building pops up. Front entry does exit on to the street, but there is enough space you could build a fence to formally break the street from the property should you want to. Several neighbors have similar setups. No sheds or stables as of now. You are in Waterdeep(I just ripped the name from other D&D crap), the largest port city on the western coast. You are above ground. It is ruled by Gavin II(human, though it is a hodgepodge of various races (humans dominate though). I'll leave the history/recap of the group to someone else.

Stavis would than head back to the Phoenix Guard headquarters.

[OOC if Stavis is around for Mazian's question he can explain but would point out that Stavis already explained everything they had been up to their first evening back for the Professor which I'm pretty sure Miazian would have been present.]

Once back home will lounge until it was time to get dressed for the party, putting away his gear other than equipping his cleaned leather armor, Phoenix Guard Cloak, his new mask of Erevan Ilesere along with face-paint for the parts of the face exposed, lyre and a couple gold and silver coins and to party it up.

Trinal will pick one that's simple and clean and within his budget.

Answering the question he smiles and says "I make my home here but have been away for some time. Before my last stay I was gone even longer, so long that it feels almost like a new city."

@Trinal "What sort of business are you in if you don't mind me asking?" Jean Vvre asks with a smile while he writes up a receipt.

"Oh, I suppose 'adventurer' would be the shortest way to put it. We go where we're needed and help out as we can, and hopefully make some of our fortune along the way."

@Trinal "Well if you are looking to make a fortune, you should consider getting treasures and selling them to the wealthy men and bankers of the Freeborne Islands. They are incredibly wealthy and some say they shit gold. I cannot say one way or the other, but when my cousin sends me rugs, they always get a high prices here. You'll like your new rug. It is very comfortable and elegant. Be sure to consider Jean Vivre for your rug needs."

"I will indeed, Jean Vivre. Thank you very much for both the rug and your advice. I hope to see you again one day."

Trinal smiles at the man, and gathers up his purchase and will head back to the building with it.

Assuming it's now the day of the dinner, Trinal will head over to the tailor to pick up the stuff he ordered yesterday, then will spend the day setting up his room and getting ready for the soiree later.

Syric will take his "free day" to walk the streets to see if he can find anyone selling cognizance crystals and a small piece of furniture appropriate for holding his scale armor
You find an armor stand for your armor, it is just 15g. It takes a while to locate a crystal shop in a back alley of a weird ghetto of the city. An elderly man surrounded by the smell of incense and stroking his beard watches you curiously as you walk in. He has various crystals on display and various wares that are clearly not from this part of the world.

"Hello stranger, why has fate guided you to my stall today?"
" Hello good sir, I can't speak for fate so lately I've just been following it as best I can! Do you have, or have you heard of, any type of crystals that could retain power? I'm not talking magic exactly, but a power that comes from ones own mind."

He smiles broadly and walks towards you. "Extend your right hand, let me see your palm." He says as an instructor might.

Syric takes a quick look around before offering his hand to the old man.

@Syric The man takes your palm and studies the creases intently. "Ah your life line has a weird intteruption before resuming, most strange. And you future seems...uncertain. You are a most puzzling man. Your future seems to be hanging in the balance." He says releasing your hand and walking deeper into the shop. "You are a man of great power, seeking more, and if I assist you with your want it could mean great or horrible things. So before I tell you what I have, tell me who you are. Not your name, not your occupation, but the spirit within." He says sitting down.

Syric says nothing as he watches the old man sit down.

He considers the question carefully as he walks forward and sits opposite the shopkeeper (assuming a seat is available, otherwise he will stand).

Looking directly at him, or almost through him, he says "I am Melora's Fire, burning clear the forest so pure life can start again. I am Kord's Bolt, blasting through those cowards Bha'al and Orcus. I will do great things with or without your help, that is where fate is leading me."

@Syric the old man chuckles. "Ah the bravado of youth. Know what the gods want do you? So sure of yourself you are?" The old man turns on his seat to a drawer next to him and pulls out a velvet bag from which he pulls four crystals. Two small ones and two big ones. The small ones have a green coloring in a whitish opaque finish. The larger ones are a rich purple with silver streaks. He pushes to two small ones towards you and leaves the large ones next to him. "You are not ready for these. Those two will serve you for now. Fifty gold a piece. And a free bit of advice. Temptation comes in many forms, and it requires constant vigilance to prevent corruption of one's spirit."

"Tony Plush has traveled far recently and our goddess watched over Tony Plush and saw him safely returned to Waterdeep while also seeing that he was lucky enough to be in position to save a member of the clergy over those travels and Tony Plush thought he should pay his respects."
The Priest smiles "Tony Plush? You mean that guy who died all those years ago? Well Avandra takes all travelers and favors the bold I suppose. If you are Tony Plush, who am I to say you aren't. I'll be in the rectory for a moment, if you'd like to get some tea, just pop in. I'll leave you to your prayers."
Tony will spend a few moments in prayer to thank Avandra for watching over him and the rest of the party in their travels and for granting him her luck to accomplish as much as they did during our journey. After his prayers Tony will head take the priest up on his offer of tea.

"Tony Plush thanks you for your hospitality to this weary traveler. As Tony Plush has been away for quite a time what news might you have? The city seems different since Tony Plush passed through earlier."

@Tony "Well in the past few months the King has been building large farming communes to help with the refugees from up north. It isn't much compared to their old lives I suppose, but it is usually a hall roof over their heads, a job farming, and helping the war effort. That has helped with the crowded streets and massive poverty. We still have beggars to be sure, but it seems a bit more manageable for the city itself I suppose." the priest says pouring you a cup of tea. "Tony tell me about yourself, where have you been, what have you seen?"

At some point during the day Trinal will wander back to the Professor's house and ask if he can dig through his reference works. If the Prof isn't around he'll look for the local library or academy to do some digging.

The Professor answers the door "Ah Trinal! Yes good to see you. I suppose you are here to follow up on the research you were doing. I think I may have a place that would be uniquely suited to this. Let me grab my coat and cane, and we'll go for a walk."

He grabs his coat and cane which he doesn't seem to need, but as he is elderly now you assume he has it for a purpose. HE leads you through the streets, stopping at the smell of some kind of savory meat pie to get a bite. Finally he leads you to a large circular building with a domed roof, a pediment and columns entry and all behind an iron gate. On the pediment is a relief of various scholarly looking individuals engaged in debate or study. The words ARCANA SCHOLAR CONSERVATORY are etched along the bottom. A guard greets the professor who says "This lad is with me." They let you in and you walk up the steps to the front door. Inside the lobby at a desk a young woman asks if she can help to which the Professor replies. "Would Mr. Zecas be available for a chat? I'm Professor Gladdenstone."

"One moment Professor." The young man says before heading out of the room and down a hall.

@Trinal "Well that is why we are here so you and Mr. Zecas can have a little chat. It is part library, part private club, part museum, and part research. You've been instrumental in practical application of arcane methods by completing a functioning Arcane Gate, so I imagine they'd be inclined to let you join. I'm not a member myself, but know Mr. Zecas socially."

The young man returns and says "Folow me."

He leads you down a marble hall with a rich purple rug down the center to an office door with a dark oak finish and brass knobs. He opens it and waves you in. Inside is a a few chairs in front of a desk. The walls are lined with impressive shelves of books, objects, magical instruments, crystals etc. Closer to you is a little sitting area with a loveseat, and two chairs. A man in his 60s with full head of short peppered hair, a velvet jacket and breches on and some half cresent spectacles sees you walk in and stand.
"Professor, so good to see you. And I see you've brought a friend. Have a seat over there." He says pointing to the sitting area. He then says to the young man "Fetch us some of the mint tea, and the butter biscuits if we have any."

He walks around the desk and comes over and shakes your hand. "Hello I'm Mr. Monty Zecas. I'm pleased to meet you."
