Trinal you walk back through the opaque white and blue field and into the dome. Looking out you see the room in the citadel you were in before with Victae leaning over to whisper something to Syric and Tony pointing and saying something to the group. The wind was knocked out of you again. The dizzyness continues.

Once more, unto the breach...

Trinal steps through the field one more time.

"It appears to have worked. If you step through this field, you'll find yourself back in Waterdeep. However, you'l have to step back out of it once there. Both going in and coming out of the field are unpleasant experiences."

Trinal takes a moment to catch his breath and says "I'm going back through. The Professor is waiting to see me. Victae, perhaps we should begin coordinating relief supplies and personnel?"

After he's recovered a bit, Trinal will go back through to the Professor and others there. "I believe I'd like to sit down for a bit now." He smiles wanly.

You are downright dizzy when you re-emerge in the citadel and feel like you are going to fall. Make a dexterity check.

Trinal stumbles a little but catches himself. He heads back to Waterdeep and upon exiting make another dexterity check with a -2 penalty.

"...definitely need to sit. That is going to take some getting used to, and I don't recommend it for repeated use in a short time. Oh..."

He stumbles to a chair and asks the Professor for some tea or something.

@Trinal "Here drink this." The professor hands over a bottle of lager. "You think you want tea, but you don't. After you left I found a reference in the literature that indicated the effects of the gate are countered by fermented alcohol.Something about yeasts and what not. Sort of a hair of the dog approach I gather."

"Well, Tony will certainly be happy." Trinal takes a long pull from the drink.

@Trinal "Funny thing is the counter can be done before hand apparently. There was account of a band of wizards who's ritual before travelling owuld be to toast on mead, had to drink a full flagon, then go. said to come out the other side right as rain." Professor says downing a bottle before getting real close to the bubble."So what's it like over there?

"I'll need to have a flask made, heh. You'll find that going through the barrier is a bit of a kick, although I suppose the 'ritual' will help with that.

It's a military fortress, a bit dark. But the portal comes out in a room where Victae and the rest of the team are currently waiting. I'm sure they'd love to see you."

Smiling, Trinal does so.

@Trinal he pulls it on over his coat and given the size difference looks ridiculous, like a small child wearing adult clothes. He smiles and walks into the bubble.

@Everyone else save Stavis and Trinal

A small humanoid comes out wearing an oversized robe that is clearly Trinals. "Oh no! I've been shrunk! Damn these arcane magics!"

"Well that really shortens the chances this will be useful. And here Tony Plush figured there was a small chance something would go wrong.

OOC: I was inside it when it activated, so went into the Waterdeep end, then traveled back through to the keep, then back in to Waterdeep, so people on both ends would know all was well, and also so we didn't spend hours in exposition. :)

OOC: That was my understanding and why Tony made light of the situation rather than freaking the fuck out.

OOC: I figured a twenty-post back and forth of me going in and out of the field would be boring, heh.

I was picturing something a little more jawa-like where you couldn't see the face

Reply to Furiel, "Of all the short puns, you choose those two? Not exactly the height of humor, but maybe your brain has become a nesting place for the birds." The professor says chiding mockingly.

He embraces each of you and shakes Col Meneldur's hand. "I owe you and apology for the bad news I deliver oh so many years ago. It appears I underestimated them all. The heartache you've unfortunately suffered is a wound I hope has been mended perhaps in part in these past weeks."

"Where's Stavis?" He finally asks. "Also can we get a few pints of ale or lager? It is a necessary precaution."

"It's not Tony Plush's fault you can't reach the pinnacle of humor Professor." Tony says with a wink.
"Stavis is under house arrest would probably be the best way to describe it on the account of him being charged with breathing while being a drow. But rest assured he is in good health and Tony Plush believes he might just have a little mystery that will intrigue you. Now if you want to get tipsy Tony Plush knows just the place!"
