Daren will be up for buying supplies but will voice that Mardak would rather live off the land.

As we leave, Maeve will ask the deputy where one might secure rations.

"I would suggest Hurin's Trading Post. You probably passed it on your way into town. Again good luck and good fortune to you."

As you think about it you do recall the shop being just inside the gates along the main road as you came into town.

Daren shrugs with a bit of a smile on his face at the Dar-Mar comment, indicating he has no problem, though the right hand seems slightly agitated indicating Mardak might not but would be doubtful to voice it verbally. "Sounds good to me."

[OOC so unless Maeve wishes to still get supplies, think we can be off towards the last known location of the attacks.]

"If Alrek knows foraging, I assume we shall be set for a while with what supplies we do have. Shall we be off then?"

(See live session)

Maeve walks into the constable's office at sunset and says "Greetings, blessings be upon you. I wish to speak with the constable or his subordinates if the constable is not available. My party wishes to file a report on the goblin situation." She smiles warmly though in the back of her head the goblin deaths at her hand aren't sitting particularly well.

The deputy on duty perks up and looks at you all for a brief moment...
"Yes you match the description of the ones The Nine sent to deal with this issue. The constable is out right now, if it's urgent because there is danger then we've been instructed to send for him immediately. Otherwise both the mayor and constable want to hear your report and they will receive you tomorrow morning at the mayors house."

"Very well, I suppose it could wait until morning." Maeve pauses "Deputy, besides the Snuggly Duckling are there any inns or places with beds for us? I ask only because rooms were hard to come by last time and I can't imagine it has gotten less crowded since." Maeve smiles.

"If you're just looking for a bed, we've got a few in back but you might not like your neighbors" he says with a laugh. "But other than that no, the Snuggly Duckling is the only inn that maintains rooms for travelers."

"Well it was worth asking. Oh one more thing, what are the main areas of commerce in town? I assume farmers bring crops and raw materials to town to sell, and I'd imagine there is a decent fishing market given the size of that lake. Anything else in the area? Mining, jewel crafting, maybe textile houses? I just like to learn about the places I visit." Maeve says with a smile not really caring that the party is probably ready to roll onto the inn.

"One last question before we get out of your hair. What are the nearest towns to here and how far away are they?" Maeve asks as she hoists her pack onto her shoulder to leave in a second.

Mardak will be with the group but close to the door and what might look like in conversation with himself with only the occasional syllable lipped "I wouldn't mind getting a feel for the city space, if we are eating there get me a plate and drink... Water, I won't mind sleeping of the floor again as I doubt more rooms have become available."

Unless the group says otherwise Mardak will leave and spend the time necessary to familiarize himself so he has 'City Secrets'.

Mardak will seem to be in a short discussion before a slight nod yes "Sure, doubt anyone would give me any trouble but two will be less likely to run into any."

Assuming both are allowed to leave at this point as they head out the door with his left hand will try with a bit of slight of hand to take a pull from one of the flasks so that Daran is in control but will try to pass himself for Mardak.

Slight of hand

Deception for being Mardak

If Daran is caught will try to play it off as him wanting a bit of fresh air.

At Alrek's imperative Maeve huffs "Fine." in a pouty tone then warmly says to the deputy "Thank you for your help, and I hope we see you tomorrow. May blessings land upon your dinner table." Before walking out.

She pays no attention to Mardak/Darren besides noting "Plate, water, floor got it." while giving Alrek the glare.

Yes there is a map of the world, it's not very detailed, you will get to see it at the mayors, I am going to spend this weekend fleshing out details on it and I will answer the question about other towns in the area, etc at the mayors house.

Slight of hand beat all of their passive perceptions and I don't think anyone was actively watching you for an action so you succeed in taking a nip while no one is looking.

Quawff will get a perception roll to detect the change as he accompanies you on your wanderings.
