Re: In-Person (well, sort of) session?
I will confess to a liking to Obsidian Order but will for the most part abstain as my back story has me joining very late to the groups formation.
Re: In-Person (well, sort of) session?
Let's just name it Phoenix Guard as well so if we meet up, hilarity ensues.
I hate picking names, but I second a liking for Obsidian Order.

Re: In-Person (well, sort of) session?
I'm finally working on my character (I have some notes for him, but no stats until today). I'll have a character sheet later. Created my roll20 account a bit ago.
I'm working off the free rules published on the wizards site, so this guy's going to be basic. My brother was going to mail me his 5e books but they haven't arrived yet so I'm just going with what I have.

That does also bring up the question of have we finalized on how we are connecting together of either Skype or Google.

To reduce bandwith of PC requirements I would prefer skype audio only and roll 20. But if that is a problem with others I can switch to googlehangouts.

Roll20 includes voice and video in-browser, so I'm not sure we need anything else?

I thought it used google hangout for that but I could be wrong, in any case if we are thinking of using Skype I have no problems with that.
I have updated my directory information to include my Google Plus and roll20 account links.

Roll20.net has built-in video and voice: https://wiki.roll20.net/Video_and_Voice_Chat
If it doesn't work for some of us, we can use Skype for audio. I hope we can do video because being able to see facial expressions and mannerisms will make for a better game, I think.

Let's just try the native stuff to roll20 and then slide to googlehangouts if needed. If nothing else you can all bask in the glory that is my beard.

So we're using roll20.net directly and not through google hangouts?

I think the plan is to try roll20.net's video/voice feature, and if there's trouble with it, just use it for the shared gaming features and use Google Hangouts or Skype for voice and video.Whiteness wrote:So we're using roll20.net directly and not through google hangouts?

Ok, because we used to use roll20 through hangouts, not in addition to hangouts, which was why I was confused.Jimer Lins wrote:I think the plan is to try roll20.net's video/voice feature, and if there's trouble with it, just use it for the shared gaming features and use Google Hangouts or Skype for voice and video.Whiteness wrote:So we're using roll20.net directly and not through google hangouts?

I am planning/hoping to be on early, about 30 minutes or so to make sure everything is working/connecting etc. Setup dice macros...

Jimer AKA Odin, I can't compete with that. At best I have a Tsar Nicholas the II look going ATM.

Gotcha. I've never used roll20 before, but I think the video/voice is a newer feature. My thinking is that if it works and is integrated into the browser with no plugins needed (which the docs say it is), then yay.

I like the sagemoor bit since Jokull has essentially given himself to defending and reclaiming Sagemoor.
