Drago goes and gathers a bunch stuff griping the entire time about having to feed 14 dwarven kids and how you guys are going to send him to the poor house before returning with everything on the list plus 12 platinum pieces.

"All of this for your Darkleaf armor. I'm taking it on the chin here, but I like you guys and want to help the war effort however I can." Drago says.

"Your contribution will be remembered Drago, I bet Stavis here will even write a song about you when we get back" Syric says jovially.

"Oh, I wanted a simple dagger as well" said as he fishes out a gold piece, "does this cover it?"
Spoiler:
Within 5 squares of Syric: +1 to Healing surges, +3 Diplomacy, +2 Intimidate, +2 Speed on surprise and 1st regular rounds
Between 6-10 squares of Syric: +1 Diplomacy

HP 63 / AC 23 / FORT 20 / REF 18 / WILL 21

"Yeah a gold should do it." Drago says. "If you guys make it back alive, be sure to stop by and give me first dibs on your treasures. And give it to them demon lovers a good one."

Stavis will bow deeply to Drago "Thank you Dargo Ironhammer, your assistance will not be forgotten. If there is anything we can be on the look out for that you are wanting, we will be sure to give it the utmost priority."

Stavis will then take a third of the gear giving Tony the platinum until it can be decided what to do with it in private.

Equipment acquired you leave the shop. I assume you are headed to the Professor's place?

@Trinal. The professor manages to check out the instruction book on building the gate (there are two copies) And he gets you a blank book and quill set.

"I'm off to see about gems. You head back to my flat. If you can copy the book as you go on the journey. Maybe a page or two a day, that would be best. And when gods allowing you all build the gate we'll have three copies to work with." The professor bows and walks off towards a wizard acolyte that had been waiting for a while at the room's door. "What is it? That blowhard? Ugh...fine take me there." And he disappears from view.

Unless Tony or Syric wish to head somewhere else first will head back to the Professors.

Well done guys, I think we're good.

The three of you make your way back to the Professor's apartment. He had given you a key earlier and you let yourself in. Neither the Professor nor Sadie are there. Trinal and Victae aren't back yet but will be soon.

Before I leave I'd like to look into copying a couple of rituals, if they're available:

* Affect Normal Fires
* Create Campsite (I had this before)
* Disenchant Magic Item
* Knock

Sure. The library is pretty expansive.

OK- it'll take some time to copy the rituals, so I'll be a little delayed getting back to the party. I'll also stop and pick up some material components for them before heading back to the Professor's.

Victae will take her leave of you then and head to the Cathedral of Kord. When she mentions that it strikes you as a bit odd as you remember her being a follower of Corellion.

Indeed it does. I assume she leaves before I can ask. Once I've finished copying the rituals it'll be pretty late. I'll head back to the Professor's place.

"Kord? I thought you a follower of Corellon, Victae. Of course, if I pry, please forgive me and I'll leave it be."

"No worries Trinal. You need to remember my father is an instructor at the Citadel. He is a devout Kord follower and it was the god of the house in my early years. Me leaving the Citadel and following Corellion was a youthful peacetime devotion. And I still do love and worship Corellion, but as I see that the world is at war, suffering is afoot, and it is time for a soldier to suit up. Kord is one of the weapons of every warrior and I need to make amends for my absence in faith if I hope to curry favor in our upcoming battles." Victae says

"Indeed. We will need all the favor we can get." He smiles. "I'll see you back at the Professor's later."

Victae's words give Trinal some pause for thought and given what's been going on, he will also stop at a shrine of Corellon to make an offering and a brief prayer.

After her trip to the Cathedral Victae returns to the Professor's place. A while later Trinal comes in, and finally very late the Professor arrives and tosses a small sack of gems to Trinal.

"It isn't everything, but as much as I could get. You'll need to find 3 emeralds of appropriate size and the essences." He plops in his overstuffed chair that is too small for any of you. "This day has been horribly busy."

"Tony Plush hopes your day was as productive as ours. We managed to secure everything we need plus some for the trip. We traded away a piece of magic armor that Tony Plush was no longer wearing and in return got a basket of Everlasting Provisions, 2 bags of holding plus all of the adventuring and cold weather gear we should need for our trip to the Citidel.

Oh and a dozen platinum as well we can split or use as party funds to pay for group expenses like food and lodging while we are traveling.

How was the library, did you get everything you need?"

Oh crap when I was figuring out the change I messed up and skipped the everlasting provisions. (Honest mistake on my part. Your change should have been 3 plat 60 gold. I'll round up to 4 plat even.

Trinal looks tiredly at the Professor. "Thank you, Professor. I think we can find the rest while en route to our destination."
