Well, let's get this show on the road, eh? Once everyone's disembarked, let's take a look at one of the gaps.

[ooc- I'm super busy today so if someone else wants to guide the party's general direction, feel free]

Actually I think this is a decent enough stopping place for now.

I'll be leaving for vacation not this weekend, but next weekend, and you guys are about to enter a rather large set piece. If you want to proceed and then have media blackout at that point we can do that.

The correct term for that is "oxt" weekend.

Your call. I'm OK either way. Playing is more fun than not. :)

Then let's do the break.

Operation: Rescue the son from Mumford will return on August 18th. As a reward for your patience, I will give everyone a second action point and full use of dailies if they were used in the boat battle.

As someone who used 2 dailies and an action point on the boat, I support this :rave:

How about free healing and reset of their healing surges instead?

As someone who took a bunch of damage, isn't at full, has spent healing surges and have full use of their dailies and action point I support this...

I'm ok with breaking here but would add Stavis would have spent at least a short break and played something softly for song of rest and preformed the ritual Traveler's Camouflage.

Effect each ally spending a healing surge adds an additional +4 to hp regained.

[OOC I will hold off on the nature check for Traveler's Camouflage until we rejoin.

The sun is setting and each of you feel a calm come over you. The last rays of the hit your face as it dips over the horizon and with it you feel yourself fully recharged. All wounds inflicted in the last few days have been healed. You could SWEAR that you were capable of heroic actions. You feel fully rested. The biggest obstacles are a wall and a slowly limping boat with injured sailors coming your way.

(OOC you are fully rested. This means you each have full health, all your dailies at your disposal, and 2 count 'em 2 action points at your disposal)

This seafort has held up better than the others you've seen. The wall is largely entact as far as you can see to the left. To the right you see it ends where the pier starts and you think you see a few guards. On the other side of the wall you do see a three story tall building with balconies and towers. You also hear the sound of music. Drums, some kind of strumming, and a flute maybe?

Stavis after feeling renewed with silently thank Erevan and will listen intently to the music being played to see if he recognizes it.

The song is an older meade hall song. It is generally used for merriment and celebrations.

Whispering, Trinal says "Interesting that the guards didn't see us or raise an alarm. Tony, you still have that stone in case we need to split up, right?"

Looking up from his silent prayers to his gods of storms and seas, Syric prepares for the battles ahead.

Point of order/clarification: Are we still on our boat or did we disembark and are now on the land?

You are on the shore. I assume you have stepped out of your boat. It wouldn't be much trouble to get back in the boat if you desired.

ooc: No, that's fine, I was just establishing our specific location/situation.

Are we far enough from the guards that they haven't seen us, or are they alerted and waiting? And what is the status of the pursuing ship?

They haven't noticed you. The pursuing ship is shouting at them but it can't be made out over the sound of the sea. You only know they are shouting because you see two of them jumping and waving arms. The guards clearly would prefer to be in side and you see them looking back into the fort most of the time.

If you had to guess you'd estimate the pursuing ship would not be on you or at the pier for about 10-15 minutes under current winds.

"Yes, Tony Plush still has the sending stone. With only two guards Tony Plush believes step one should be for those of us of the more discreet persuasions to go eliminate the guards at the pier so they cannot give warning and we can approach the fort undetected."
