"Last chance. Drop the weapon and surrender."

(ooc: are we able to go or are we still waiting on him to take his turn?)

[OOC if allowed Stavis will stop two squares behind 2, other wise at the bottom of the gray box out of melee reach of 2.]

Stavis after stopping and after seeing that all of the rest of the enemy is dead and the rest of his group has surrounded 2 on the dock side. "There is no help coming, you are the only one left. Surrender!"

With a look of terror at you all he is unable to drop the only sense of safety he has left. The sword is in his hands. He isn't even pointing it at anyone any longer just using it to keep people a bit further away. A dragonfrost bolt flies through the air and pops him square in the chest killing him.

Combat is over.

"Dammit. I really didn't want to have to kill him." Trinal sighs. "Actually, I was hoping I'd miss. I didn't realize until the spell was cast that he was scared, not defiant."

"Well, let's check the bodies and search the tower, I guess."

Stavis will turn to Trinal "Don't beat yourself up too much, as anyone trying to disarm him would have to deal with the likely-hood of being attacked."

Stavis will head back to the tower to search the bodies and the ruinous building for any useful information.

"We couldn't have trusted anything we might have gotten out of him anyway" Syric offers as he follows Stavis to check the tower.

"I not saying its a completely bad idea, as I am rather worn and ready to rest, but I would rather stay at the fisherman's island instead, I would expect the three islands the barbarians are using are staying in communication with each other and would hate to still be here when it gets found we wiped this group off the map."

"Add to the fact that the barbarian ships are burning and any scouting ships would be able to see from quite a distance something isn't right and could go get enough reinforcements without us knowing they've found out."

Searching the bodies you find normal sailor/soldier items. swords of varying quality, and the most curios item is a bit of leather scrap with a grid. In the grid are the moon cycles and there is a fire drawn on the grid where the new moon should be.

Gesturing to the leather scrap, "Can anyone make heads or tails out of this thing? Any idea what it could be used for?"

Syric looks around until he finds Vlad, "How about you, any thoughts? And how long do you think it will take to get back tonight? I don't like the idea of hanging around here."

"My guess is the new moon is when they attack. Should they attack at night raid it makes the most sense to attack then.

Unless there are objections lets head to the fisherman's island to either rest there or head back to town. We can continue this conversation on the way there."

Trinal will look at the grid and make a Legend Lore check to see if it means anything to him.

Agreed. Lets head back to fisherman's island. Lets take some of there supplies with us for the fisherman too. Any idea where we currently are on this moon map?

Trinal realizes (in spite of or possibly because of his poor roll) that the grid is a calendar, a lunar calendar specifically.

Looking up in the sky he sees that the new moon should be tomorrow night.
