LPDnD: The Help!

Post by Blackferne » Tue Apr 15, 2014 6:31 pm

Trinal, Stavis, Gobo, and Ham'mon are investigating the leads surrounding the servants, the villa, and maybe the village. Kyros is still on the property and is able to answer questions as needed. Aehgon the head servant has told you about Tikka and Nicene who were two additional servants hired for last nights party. You are currently unarmed.

Aegon looks at Ham'mon "You look a little hungry. Let me get you something. Maybe a chicken pita with some yogurt?"

"Good sir, as my friend indicated, we're trying to help Kyros find his mantel, which seems to have gone missing. We were hoping you might be able to tell us who would have had access to his quarters, or if there's been any unusual incidents in the last few weeks with any of the servants?"

Trinal smiles, pouring on the charm. Using my knack for success (+4): Diplomacy: d20+13+4=11+13+4=25

Streetwise/Bluff check to see if he's being dishonest in any response (both have a +6): 11+6=17

@Trinal

"Trinacus, as you know my family are the servants for the family. I have not noticed anything odd regarding my wife or three children. We serve the family as we have for many years, since becoming their slaves. The only new servants have been Tikka and Nicene. Any of us have access to the entire estate as well as the master's family." Aegon says.

streetwise and bluff aren't really used that way as they are used as a general getting to know the city, pick up rumors and outright lying on your part respectively.

What you mean to do is an insight check and as best you can tell he believes everything he is saying.

For the third time INSIGHT is the skill for trying to determine people's motivations. Transferring your crit to that skill, you notice a slight quiver in his voice, what is that? Fear yes fear. But what is he afraid of? You guys asking all these questions. He is wondering if he is gonna be in trouble, but this fear isn't the fear of being caught you can discern by his eye twitches, it is the fear of a false accusation coming on him. He loves the family and wants them to love him, he hopes that he isn't wrongly accused, but these visitors keep asking the same questions. He's answered them truthfully each time, but they keep asking. What do these people know that he doesn't?

"Be at ease, my friend. We are absolutely not here to accuse you of anything. In point of fact we're coming to you because we hope to find out what might have happened before we accuse anyone, and since you are the ones most likely to know everything that has happened in and around the villa of late, you would be the one to ask." Trinal smiles again. "Please believe me that we don't think you had anything to do with it."

"Now, this next question may seem a bit indiscreet, and I hope you will keep it in confidence." Trinal lowers his voice a bit and steps forward to include the man in his personal space- the idea being to make him part of the investigation in his own mind. "I truly don't like even the implication of the question, but have you any indication that Kyros' brother has been in or around his quarters of late? Kyros believes his brother may be the one behind the disappearance and while we hope it is not true, we would be remiss if we did not at least ask the question."

Again with the charm, diplomacy: d20+13=10+13=23

[ooc]So you're saying that in terms of human behavior, I'm not very perceptive, but I'm hella insightful.[/ooc]

Ham'mon puts his hand on the man's shoulder.

"Fear not. We'll find out what has happened. We will bring Pelor's light upon those that do your master injustice."

"Well since Master Moris returned from the war, he has kept weird hours, and often goes on hikes. I have seen him in Kyros' room, but he was getting a spare blanket because he said he was cold at night." Aegon says.

Stavis bows slightly to both but will watch for any reaction and any signs of holding information back. "Hello Tikka and Nicene, we are a part of a group trying to help Kyros with an issue he is having. As I understand both fairly newer here where and was wondering if either might have noticed any strange behavior around the house hold, even something small could be helpful and could have been overlooked, just as it can be difficult to notice children grow into adult from one day to the next."

"We haven't noticed anything terribly odd. I mean it was the usual affairs for a house preparing for a feast. We cooked and cleaned. I guess the oddest thing we saw was Moris going to the village after a messenger from Teucer's house delivered him a note. I had assumed that the families didn't speak, but Moris perhaps sees the folly of old disputes after the war. I dunno." Nicene says.

Insight she seems very comfortable with you guys asking questions and are answering freely.

"When did this note from Teucer arrive for Moris?" Trinal asks offhandedly.

Jimer Lins wrote:"When did this note from Teucer arrive for Moris?" Trinal asks offhandedly.
"It was the second day we were working the kitchen. I remember because Cymone was telling us the aspects of the house, and this messenger came up with the letter asking for Moris. Cymone has a wicked frown on her face and left the room. That was 8 days ago as we started here 9 days ago." Nicene replied.
