"Trinal, I'm not sure what you're assuming may happen, but I don't think there's any harm in just visiting the local soothsayer. If anyone could use some divination, it's us. We check him out while we're there and make sure everything seems right."

"There is also the matter of the rumor of how it was lost. Who ever is responsive for its spreading has to have some involvement in its theft or you would be able to prove wrong immediately.

The fact that this rumor has spread at all could well be seen as making a rival faction less likely, if a rival faction is now in possession, may use gambling as the excuse of how the mantel ended up in theirs, but they would likely show it off like a trophy of war then just keep it hidden."

Ooc I had the impression that the soothsayer was a woman off in the woods somewhere.

[ooc] they're out in the hills, but I was assuming it wouldn't be a big deal if a couple people showed up, got some fortunes told and just felt them out without mentioning the mantle

Stavis, would you be willing to follow up with Teucer and the rival faction lead?

So what's the plan? Syric and Spintik to the soothsayer, Stavis investigating the villa?

I'm obviously inclined to work the villa. I'd like to talk with this servant mentioned. With my diplomacy, I think I'm better suited here.

Gobo or Gobous or whatever (we need a cheat sheet) will go along with Stavis or Stavinimousimusimous or whatever to talk to the staff in the house who he believes most likely to know what could or did happen. ous.

@Villa crew (Ham'mon, Gobo, Trinal. Stavis)

Kyros leads you to an outer building from the main building. Inside you find a family fixing lunch.

"Agenor, my friends have a few questions. I'd like you to help them with their investigation. I'll be in the main villa with Syrios, Spintikopolous, Tonius, and Victania before they go for a tour of the area if you need me." Kyros says before leaving to return to the main building.

"How might I be of assistance to the friends of our master?" Aegon asks. A small man with light brown skin, and balding.

@Soothsayer crew (Syric, Spintik, Tony, and Victae)
Kyros returns to you and gives instructions of where the soothsayer is in relation to the villa. There is a road out of town towards the mountains that goes past her shack. It is about a half day walk. "Do you want to do anything before you set off?"

@Syric

"The road is pretty safe, but if you'd like to borrow some arms from the family armory, you could do that." Kyros says leading you into one of the cellars.

"That would be good. Additionally if you could perhaps have someone pack us a lunch since it will take us a day to get there and back we will definately need some food for the road."

When we hit the armory I'll grab a dagger as a backup and a light blade (preference rapier) as a primary weapon.

Kyros leads you to the cellar which also serves as the family armory. You see an array of weapons which would be fitting to an ancient roman or greek movie.

There are Longswords, shortswords, daggers, long spears, arrows, falchions, scimitars, kukris, nets, and tridents. Armor wise they have various hide, leather, cloth, and scale armors all of which resemble ancient greek designs.

Victae looks over the armor and picks up scale armor and a longspear.

"Not a glaive, but I suppose it will do." Victae says.

"Nice selections Victania. That weapon were blessed by a priest for my great grand father. And the armor belonged to my great great great aunt who was a legendary warrior princess." Kyros says. (Weapon and armor have enchantments on them +2 to AC on the armor, +2 to attack and damage for the spear)

Syric looks for a set of scale armor that will fit him before eyeing the weapons available. He picks up various bladed weapons to try and get a feel for them before finally settling on a longsword.
