The man leads the group in. He leads them to an older woman with black hair with streaks of white and specs of gray.

"Matron Cymone, we have more revelers for Moris' return." He says in a tone and manner you'd expect from a servant.

"Thank you Melas." Cymone says dismissing him "Welcome! You must be the family of Peiros! Let me have a look."

She starts hugging and greet each of you.

"My Syrios you've grown so much since I saw you as a child! And you still have your mother's eyes." she says to Syric.

"And Tonius! I see you have filled out your frame nicely. I trust your father's farm did well last harvest." she says to Tony.

"And noble Gobous. We have worried so much about you in the war. I am glad teh gods have seen fit to have your return to us." She says to Gobo.

"Stavian, sweet Stavian. I hope your poetry is still in fine form. We may need it if the night goes long!" she says to Stavis.

"Hammous, I trust your health is well." She says to Ham'mon.

"Trinacus, I trust you aren't letting those philosophers lead you to moral ruin with their logical fancy!" She says to Trinal while patting his cheeks like a doting aunt.

"Sweet Victania, you have grown into quite the beauty. Any marriage proposals?" She says to Victae who is somewhat stunned.

"And last but not least Spintikopolous, I trust your band of archers are proving value to the generals?" she says to Spintik.

She leads you a few yards to the main hall which is full of benches with people drinking wine, eating olives, roasted lamb, various breads and dips. A man in the corner with a lyre is leading the crowd in a call and response song. On the raised platform on the far wall is a table with an older gentlemen in fine blue and gold robes, and two younger men siting at either side. There is a vacant chair immediately next to him.

Gobo feels compelled to correct Cymone but stops himself short thinking

This is a test of Bahamut. He wants me to be this Gobous for some reason. I will not admit to the feint and fulfill the will of Bahamut.

Gobo gives a simple head nod to Cymone

"No need to worry, a good soldier can always find their way home."

@Gobo

"And a good soldier you are!" She squeezes your bicep, "Now go eat some lamb! Let it not be said the soldiers of the Kingdom of Antika wither away on sprouts and and onions."

When appropriate to break a way from the group, Stavis will grab a bit of food before get as close to the player with the lyre. Hoping to try and learn the song structures and singing styles should he need to come up with a poem or other such entertainment.

Trinal is, while not stunned, at least quite bemused by this turn of events. He turns to Victae, "Are you doing all right, er, Victania?" he asks with a small smile.

@Staris PMed perception checks etc etc.

@Trinal "I just need a drink." She goes to the vase and pours herself a cup clearly not amused by the situation.

Trinal follows her. Quietly he says "I'm no more pleased by this than you are, but hopefully our purpose here will be revealed soon." He pours himself a small cup and sips.

Syric had planned on denying any knowledge of the feast, Moris and any war, but seeing as he is apparently expected he opts to try and carry on.

He heads to get some food, nods and smiles at those he passes by with his ears open for anything relevant.

Spintik goes to the nearest vacant spot, grabs some drink and lamb, sit and joins into the conversation at his table. Reacquaints himself with the locals and visitors alike, laughing and joking wherever possible. [ooc] Its a festival. Be festive![ooc]

@Spintik You talk to the villagers and hear various reports on the state of the village. You hear the war against Sinnum is going well. That Moris' heroics saved the day on many a battle. You also hear more mundane things about crops, and upcoming religious Days in the kingdom of Antika. You hear how the old man on the stage, Patron Demitri, is on the village of elders, but getting ready to pass his legacy onto one of his sons Moris or Kyros.

Tony is going to not partake of any of the food or drink and generally make himself unobtrusive, unnoticed and will just listen in on what conversations he can.

Just decorate it with some chopped parsley and you might be able to pass it off as babaganoush.

The older man on the stage raises his cup of wine and stands.

"Friends, family, and well wishers! I am glad you came to feast with us tonight! We welcome Moris back from the war with the Sinnum bastards in the west! We Antika are the pinnacle of civilization, and we shall not bow to those vermin! Regardless we are proud of Moris who has returned home, much like his brother Kyros before him. They are my pride and joy these two. Cymone was blessed to give me two strong boys, and they have lived strong and proud lives. The fire in my brazier is dimming with age, and soon I will be standing down from the council. And with it one of my sons will ascend to the council in my place. So let's cheer them, and sing their praises!" He takes a huge swig of his wine, laughs and walks down to go lay a kiss on his wife.

Kyros does a small toast, and meekly leaves the stage to the side door of the hall. Moris stands on the stage soaking up praise and jesting with some of the guests in a raunchy manner.

Syric leaves the hall following Kyros and sees him looking over a railing at the village. Next to him looking at the village is Victae who somehow got a second cup of wine.

Trinal will simply hang back and observe the goings-on in the hall, trying to stay unobtrusive.

A young woman approaches Trinal, "My name is Taryn, Aunt Cymone says you've studied with philosophers. What is that like?" She smiles and bats her eyes a bit.

"A pleasure to meet you, Taryn. I suppose one would say that it's like any other field of study- difficult, but not without its rewards if one works hard." Trinal smiles at her, but is reserved, and very much not attempting to flirt with her, only being friendly. "Do you know Moris and Kyros? I find myself wondering who their father will decide should take his place on the council," he says by way of making conversation.

"Cousin Moris and Kyros? Yeah we've grown up together. Uncle Demitri will choose based on honorable actions I suppose. Both are war heroes, Kyros is older by three years. I suppose that would give him the leg up. So what is the most fascinating thing you've learned in the academy?" She stands real close and plays with her hair.
