[ooc]No RP moment because to me it seems like that part is at a dead end right now. We know they exist and there is some dude name Nylock that has a relic who it part of it. From what we've been told the people with any additional information on then are Drayson, talked to him and he only talked about the crypt, and Syric and Stavis, both of who either didn't get or haven't given us any useful leads to follow on that end. From an RP perspective Tony would go either way as well because he has interest in hunting up this relic, just as he is interested in cleaning out the crypt. But right now the crypt is obvious so he would lean that way.[/ooc]

As you guys talk to Drayson the Sheriff walks in.

"Gentlemen and lady, I'm glad I found you here. I talked to the Baron, and he is interested in learning more about these cults and what not, though not today. Also I have some intel on the grave robbings. A cemetery caretaker said he saw some goblins in the area and thinks they may have been responsible. They had carts with linen wrapped packages. Not sure if that helps, but we haven't seen goblins this far south in quite a while."

[ooc- there's the hook]

Trinal greets the Sheriff. "It seems that we have two avenues to explore- Drayson's crypt and these goblins. Maybe we would do well to split up into two groups to effectively look into both issues?"

Victae speaks "As I believe our esteemed and honorable friend Gobo and I have martial training, it would be best for us to go to different investigations. As I am new here, I will let him choose his destiny."

[ooc Victae and goboobviously should be in different parties. the Professor can go where ever there is need for healing if both Syric and Stavis go goblin, Professor will go to the crypt. If one of them chooses the crypt, Professor will go goblin.]

"I'm more inclined to look into the goblin situation," Trinal says. "I believe that some of us- " here he indicates Ham and Drayson - "may be better-equipped to look into this crypt that Drayson refers to."

"Ok so it sounds like we've got the start of a few teams forming here. Before we get too carried away though, Tony Plush would like a little more information on our newcomers.

Spitnik, the sheriff said you were a fair shot with a bow, what other capabilities do you have? Scouting? Ifiltration? Tracking? Bypassing traps? Speak up man. Trinal and Tony Plush stuck their necks out for you so we'd like to hear what we got for our trouble.

As for Victae and the Professor here...Tony Plush gathers that Victae here is of the martial discipline, so that's good and it appears the Professor has some talent for healing. What other tricks are you two capable of?

If we're going to allocate assets we need to make sure they are allocated as effectively as possible."

The Professor looks offended, "Has some healing capabilities? Like I'm some kind of third rate priest from a leper colony? I'll have you know sir that I taught at Rhalbren and have written several books of academic significance. I have studied under some of the greatest minds in the known world, and taught some of the most powerful and influential people in the next generation. I'll have you know that my quick wits, agile appraisal of my surroundings, and cunning have contributed to many successful adventures. So if you don't mind, don't pigeonhole me into what ever brutish thug template you are operating under and just know I can hold my own..thank..you...very...much."

Attempt to intellectually intimidate Tony in the process (pure RP value)
[dice]0[/dice] (please be high).

Victae's cheeks turn red slightly embarrassed. "Please forgive him, you've apparently injured his inflated sense of ego. As for me I was trained at the Citadlel Aern Bruth. I am proficient with most forms of military hardware, specialize in the glaive, and have trained not only in crusade endurance, but combat healing if needed."

"Whoa whoa whoa, sorry there Professor, Tony Plush was just trying to assess what skills you all have and having never met you before last night and recent adventures have illustrated the need. If any offense was given please know that Tony Plush did not mean it to be so. Please accept his humblest of apologies."

"Apology accepted. Since you are right in that you are not formally aware of my 'skillset' please allow me to enumerate a few of the highlights. I am a master of wordsmithing. I have not but two nights ago literally killed a wolf by hurling insults. I improve moral, lend aid, have an extensive knowledge of historical facts, am noted for my diplomatic skills, and considered exceptionally observant. Also I am a bit of a trickster."

The Professor uses Cantrip (racial power) and causes a cup from the table to float up in the air and slowly go to his hand.

He smiles proud of himself.

I'm going to take Ham'mon's statement to mean goblins because 1)Drayson specifically stated that the crypt is League of Death and that he didn't know anything about the Bha'al's Sect and 2)based on an IM conversation we had yesterday.

This also means that Gobo is going with him based on an IM convo with Reese yesterday where he said that he would follow Tony, unless Ham'mon went elsewhere alluding to himself as Ham'mon's sponsor (I'm thinking AA ref?) Also Reese is extremely busy at work so I've been given "Power of attorney" should combat breakout etc etc.

That sets our groups at

Crypt
Syric
Tony
Victae
Professor

Goblins
Gobo
Ham'mon
Trinal
Spintik
Stavis

Anyone want to flip groups or should we proceed? (you have til say noon CST to object to the setup before I split it into two separate threads. (Team Crypt and Team Goblin)

Yes there are places to buy supplies. Use list prices in the phb unless i say otherwise. You probably don't need a horse.

Ok. Thanks. I head to supplier and pickup another 30 arrows. These I fasten in a bundle to the side of my quiver (as it is full off arrows).

[edit] add stakes (and steaks) to my lists. I believe there be vampires out and about.
