I picked up Glimpse the Future and Alertness. So another skill for Tony and I can't be surprised anymore.

If everyone could look through the magic equipment sections of the PHB and make a list of 5 items (you won't get all of them) that you would like (no more than a +3 on any enhancement). PM me your Alvistide wish list.

In a few weeks we're getting Websense put on at my new office so my posting will be more sporadic as well.

I added Unarmored Agility (+2 to AC while wearing cloth/no armor), and "Energetic Flight", a daily power that allows me to fly my move speed for a turn.

FYI - the new equipment gave me a +1 healing surge bonus to all allies within 5 squares, a daily power to telelport an enemy I hit and a daily power to teleport myself and possibly all adjacent allies 5 squares.
Spoiler:
1. Armor of Transport - PHB3 pg 198, Daily power: Immediate interrupt, trigger: an enemy hits you, effect: you teleport 5 squares. AUGMENT 1: you also teleport each ally adjacent to your starting space to different squares adjacent to your destination space.

2. Dislocation Weapon, PHB3 pg 201, Crit 1d8 per plus, Daily power: Free action, Trigger: you hit an enemy with an attack using this weapon. Effect: you teleport the enemy to a square adjacent to one of your allies. AUGMENT 2: The enemy grants combat advantage until the end of your turn.

5. Belt of Sacrifice - PHB 252, Each ally within 5 squares of you gains a +1 item bonus to healing surge value, Power-Daily: Minor action, lose 2 healing surges. An ally within 5 squares of you regains one healing surge.

My new gear gives me some capabilities also:

Thunderwave staff- (Daily power) if I would push an enemy, I can knock them prone and deal a d8 of damage for each pushed square.
Ghostphase Armor: +5 necrotic resist and once daily I can become insubstantial.
Sending Stones: Can be used to speak to someone not present. Should be useful at some point.

Thunderburst Bow: Daily. Next basic range attach becomes a burst 1 centered on target. attack vr Fort. Each target takes damage equal to normal attack damage.
Sunleaf armor: daily free action: when hit by OA deal 1d10 plus dex damage.

I feel a whole lot of pain going there way.

I did the slash both ways and got the same results. Although the extra slashes are not in there anymore which is a good sign.

@Trinal You estimate for the project you will need about 10 pounds of elementium and about 6 pounds of thorium.
Furiel wrote:"Gentlemen Tony Plush is in possession of a spare set of Darkleaf Armor from our journeys on the other side. We should be able to trade that for several items that will make this journey much easier. Especially given it's wartime and magic armor would be at a premium. Let's find a shop that deals in items of power and see what we can get."

Specifically I have +2 Darkleaf Armor, 4200 book price. I'm thinking/hoping we can pull off something like 2 bags of holding at 1000 each and Everlasting Provisions at 840. The provisions basket will keep us in food forever without us having to carry any spare and the bags will make it easy for all our extra cold weather and gate supplies to be carried without a pack animal. That would mean trading at 2/3 value of the armor so we would need to start out higher obviously and that should be about the floor for our negotiations.
Normally you can sell for half, but as it is time of war they are in higher demand so you can probably haggle it up to 3/4th book value.

Standard adventurer’s kit 15 gp 33 lb.
Backpack (empty) 2 gp 2 lb.
Bedroll 1 sp 5 lb.
Flint and steel 1 gp —
Pouch, belt (empty) 1 gp 1/2 lb.
Rations, trail (10 days) 5 gp 10 lb.
Rope, hempen (50 ft.) 1 gp 10 lb.
Sunrods (2) 4 gp 2 lb.
Waterskin 1 gp 4 lb.

Climber’s kit 2 gp 11 lb.
Grappling hook 1 gp 4 lb.
Hammer 5 sp 2 lb.
Pitons (10) 5 sp 5 lb.

So if we get 3/4 it'd be 3150 - 840 = 2310 - 2000 = 310

5 riding horses @ 75 each = 375
4 tents @ 10 each = 40
4 standard adventure's kits @ 15 = 60
5 climbing kits @ 2 each = 10
subtotal = 485

5 sets of winter clothes/cloaks + Material to make snowshoes = X

I don't know what everyone is at for gold, I thought I was at 294 but I don't know if that includes the last 100 blackferne mentioned

if we each throw that 100 (75 for Stavis) in we'd be at 785 - 485 = 300 - X

maybe some other items like a thieves kit and/or an everburning torch?

[OOC not opposed to either thieves or ever-burning torch. Also may not hurt to buy a set of Bell and Whistle for everyone to be able to signal from a distance, don't remember if we still have the communication stones and if we do whether we would be leaving one with the Professor.

Cold-weather clothing
Category: Gear
Price: 10 gp
Weight: 10 lb
Description: Wearing these furs gives you a +2 bonus to Endurance checks against cold weather. Wearing the snowshoes included in this gear allows you to ignore difficult terrain caused by snow and ice, but reduces your speed by 2.

Side-note Stavis when given the opportunity would buy 4 Shuriken to bring himself back to 20.
4 Shrukien 4x2sp=8sp

I still think we would need to purchase additional food with the potential of getting a Hunters kit to help supplement what we buy.

Not sure horses are the best choice when we will be spending a chunk of time going through mountain passes that may be snowed in and we won't be able to feed them.

That's when they double as the extra food Staris wanted

Anyway, that's why I brought it up in a different thread. I didn't think we'd use them for the same reason but Staris raised a good point about getting there quicker than walking.

I think it was suggested we would go north following the mountains then crossing at the gap for the first leg of the trip. I'm ok with whatever since we're getting bags of holding.

The other thing about horses is that not only do we have to worry about the care and feeding of them but protecting them too, especially if we have to go into Silver Deep. Can't really take horses into a mine very easily. Also as a reminder it's wartime so buying horses could be more difficult and expensive due to the current economic climate however we are also going to be working for the general in charge of logistics, so he might be able to requisition some for us for free if people are insistent on getting them.

On longer trips horses are slower than walking. I don't think we should even bother.

Ok so need DM approval before we act.

After Whiteness pointed out that some of Dugeons & Dragons online library includes items that could be outside the scope need to know if we can buy cold-weather gear as it comes from Mordenkainen's Magnificent Emporium book.
