Okay so for crafting. I'm going to say if you want to craft a bow or arrow (basic non magical) you could do it assuming you are proficient with the weapon and have spent a weapon focus feat on it (ie you understand why certain things are the way they are, like weighting of a weapon etc etc) It will take time though, you'll have to get materials, etc.

Ok. Cool. I spent my level 2 feat on weapon expertise instead of weapon focus. Plus 1 to hit as oppose to plus 1 to damage. Would that work?

Yeah, basically just something that shows skill with the given weapon beyond simple proficiency. Now if you want it to be bonus damage off standard you'll need to get some magic involved.

And would it be like dnd2 roll a d20 to success/fail with a chance for finely crafted weapons?

I have found and downloaded all the D&D4e books.
I created a torrent if you guys would like to have them. It contains 2 files. 1 text file showing a directory listing of the books and a zip file of said books. Just over 2G of pdf files.

I took something called "Dancing Lightning". 2d10+8 damage, range 10, 4 points of damage to anyone next to the target.

They don't call this class "striker' for nothing. Dang.

Impatient strike
effect: shift 1 square before the attack
1[W] + CHA and one ally adjacent to the target gets a +2 to damage against it until start of my next turn
augment1: as above and each ally adjacent to you can stand up as a free action
augment2: 2[W] +CHA damage, until end of next run allies adjacent to me get a damage bonus of my CON mod (3)
Spoiler:
Within 5 squares of Syric: +1 to Healing surges, +3 Diplomacy, +2 Intimidate, +2 Speed on surprise and 1st regular rounds
Between 6-10 squares of Syric: +1 Diplomacy

HP 63 / AC 23 / FORT 20 / REF 18 / WILL 21

So, I added Sequestering Strike for level 3:
Wisdom vs. AC
Hit: 2[W] + Wis modifier (+3) damage and you teleport the target 2 squares. You then teleport to a space adjacent to the target.
Censure of Pursuit: The number of squares you teleport the target equals 1 + your Dex modifier (+3)
Summary: I hit the guy for (currently 2D8+4) damage, and then teleport him to a position of my choosing - say, flanked by Tony or Gobo, or away from an ally who's getting bloodied all to shit.

How are everyone's backup characters coming?

I'm considering a Halfling Warlord for shits and giggles but I have a few other ideas as well...

Spintik
That would be my preference as well, but there are still 42 of them, almost all of them are unhurt, and we are beat to hell, surrounded and have no healing until next round. If you take the combined HPs of every ally we have still up and concious we don't equal the HPs of 4 of them. If you don't want to die you should do what I had been considering for the last couple days but foolishly decided against...move down to the south wall, jump over it into the water and swim downstream and try to stealth away.

Or stand and die like everyone else.

I did consider the escape option but it just didn't seem feasible, as they'd just run me down. So I decided, if I'm gonna die, I'll do it on my feet.

And since dailies are back I should at least be able to take some of them with me!

I discussed my escape plan with Joun late last week. I figured with my +10 stealth and athletics I was going to jump the wall in the SW corner and jump into the stream, swim under water downstream for several rounds then attempt to stealth out of the water and sneak away. And with the way they are arranged now there would only be a small handful that would have a shot at spotting me. It probably would have only prolonged the inevitable but Tony's loyalty and feeling of duty and honor kept him in place and trusting to Avandra to see him through.

I'm having a grand old time now. I'm a freaking murder machine, it's insane. I'm pretty sure I just nailed 13 enemies in one round.
