I haven't played 4e so I'm not sure how well some of the ideas I have will work, that's something I'm going to be reading up on when I have time tomorrow, but I have a couple ideas I'm mulling over...

Cleric/Rogue combo who goes adventuring/dungeoneering to recover holy relics for the church, think a god powered Indiana Jones
Tony Plush 2.0 - fighter type who's more of a flash and dash fencer type than a big immobile wall of armor
The wanderer - another fighter type who specializes in staves and speed/agility instead of armor, I call him the wanderer because he would look completely unassuming just a guy walking around with a staff, right up until he beats the hell out of you in 6 seconds flat
Wanna be smuggler - rogue who's out adventuring to gain wealth and contacts with the goal of becomming the greatest smuggler the land has ever known

Those are the ideas I had off the top of my head, we'll see what I come up with given a bit more time...

On Indy-- http://dnd4.wikia.com/wiki/Multiclassing Multicllassign in 4e is not like 2nd edition (played in high school, and I'm guessing you did too nerd). It really is an unequal partnership of abilities. It is more like Cleric is the major with roguing being your minor.

Tony Plush 2.0- strikes me as some fun RP. Evasion tanking is doable I think in 4e, but you might have also meant Tony of House Plush ("Winter s coming and so am I") as a striker type which is totally doable.

Wanderer sounds like Eli. Could be fun.

Smuggler sounds fun, and you don't just need to limit it to rogue. Smuggling is a lifestyle, not a class set!

I almost always play rogues, but like I said, I could experiment here and go with pretty much anything.

I had my money on eithere Whitey hurting Reese first or Furiel attacking Cuspar. This makes me think Dood might draw first blood.

Am I the only one who looked at Furiel's list and thought, "Yes, everyone pick one of those out of a hat and that's our party?"

Though we'd probably want some healing kind of guy too.

You probably want a ranged damage dealer, maybe some magic. Don't much care, but just thought I'd throw that out.

But we'd have Tony Plush. Tony Plush don't need no range. Tony Plush IS range.

Something you might consider doing to help out the formation of the group is draw out 3 character ideas (or at least a character idea across three classes) similar to what Furiel has done. Pick one character for each type.

Example if I were playing.

Tank-Polearm fighter type (probably do an mystical warrior RP bent)
Damage/controller- (Wizard who used to be a court performer doing cantrips until he got fired after he was caught sleeping with the head chef's wife "That one trick cost me my career!")
Healer- Gnome bard historian

List of Tanky classes:
barbarian, battlemind, fighter, warden

List of Healy Classes:
ardent, bard, cleric, paladin, runepriest, shaman, warlord

List of Striking classes:
avenger, barbarian, monk, paladin, ranger, rogue, sorcerer, warlock

List of Controlling classes:
druid, invoker, psion, ranger, seeker, warlock, wizard

I typically go for sorcerers or similar.
A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn. - Edmund Blackadder

I think I'll branch out and try something besides wizard or 1 o'clock

Yes phone I clearly said 1 o'clock and not a warlock

So far initial surveys would suggest furiel is indiana Cleric, dood rogue, jimer sorcerer, cuspar as warlock, whitey as wizard or somethjng else, and Reese as a fighter.

My two most fleshed out ideas are Indiana Cleric and T-Plush 2.0 so I'll probably go one of those routes depending on how Whitey and Reese go.

And no Joun, I did not play dnd in high school. I only played the original Star Wars RPG from WEG in high school. DnD didn't start til college, then again that was still probably before you did. And I'm not a nerd, I'm a geek. I have hygenie.

I'm pretty sold on a half-elf ardent.

I just need to find a new way to set things on fire.

Please sign me up for standyby.... I have a feeling this will be a revolving party...

Also, what nights/times are you considering?

It is a forum based game. See one of the other games ran in this subforum for an idea of how it works. Basically if you check in to the forums a few times a day and keep up with the thread you'd be fine. Though if at some point the group wants a live session I suppose that could be arranged.

Its ok Maizan you weren't the only one and from the sound of it may not have to wait all that long before we get our chance to play

Still younger than me. I could have started college in 1989. If I was smart enough to have gone to college instead of the Army. :(
