@ Dood Ship fuel is 50cr/kg. 1kg for your ship = 1 days worth of fuel. I currently do not plan an OPEC style embargo pushing up fuel prices so you can consider that a given stable price galaxy wide going forward. And you guys have 4 days worth of nuna fixings.

What am I looking at in terms of food on a daily cost for say 7 people?

Supplies (food and water)=10 credits x number of living inhabitants x number of days you want supplies for.

Excellent, I'm sure that your stocks should be more than sufficient to meet our needs currently. I'll just need to verify with my companions what our cargo needs are this run and either I or another representative will be returning later today or early tomorrow to place our order. Thank you both for your time.

Eli leaves the Czerka store pondering how to come up with another 1500 or so credits. Are there fights again tonight? I'm assuming if there are they are above my skill level so participating is unlikely. Is it possible to observe the fighters pre-fight to try to determine skill to make a more knowledgable wager?

Ultimately Eli's destination will be the ship, but he's going to be wandering a bit kinda lost in thought so I won't be going the most direct route.

Tonight the Arena is being used for a non fight related event tonight. And last I checked Durosian folk theater was not usually wagered on. Tomorrow night the minor professional night (your current class) would be fighting.

I am told that the shipper will provide food and water for the dewbacks, and that our cargo hold will adequately house them.

[OOC: someone with mechanical might want to do a check to see if they fit. Our illustrious GM indicated that they would, but hey - that sadist also gave us a herd of dewbacks instead of containers of Lokian wheat.]

So we're estimating 18 days to Bryx. And we want extra fuel just in case, probably extra food as well. Also we need to put 1000cr into escrow.

So we're looking at:

1000cr - Escrow
1500cr - 30 days fuel
1820cr - 30 days food (we have 4 days worth thanks to Bulwark)

So we could scrimp and drop to 25 day's of each:

1250 for fuel.
1470 for food.

Dropping to 20 days it's:

1000 for fuel, 1120 for food.

So we need a minimum of 2120 plus escrow, so 3120. Current funds are 1500 and we still have to license the weapons if I'm not mistaken. Dood can contribute 800cr. Thoughts?

"All right, I'll take another look at the ship" Syric says as he leaves to do a thorough inspection, both inside and out, taking note to size up the cargo hold and identify whether or not it can hold their possible shipment.

When I get back to the ship and we are all talking over dinner I tell people about the droids and droid costs at Czerka and I also buy into the company for somewhere between 2500 and 3500 credits as I realize that while getting med and labor droids are prudent, they are not a higher priority than being able to get to Bryx and leave quickly if necessary. That's my thought, anyone got anything better?

Everything the BoSS inspection said seems reasonable in your estimation. You find no other serious flaws in the ship. There are some cosmetic things like worn seats what not, nothing too bad. Looking at the cargo hold the dewback crates listed would fit tightly but should fit.

Dood wanders to the crew dorms and wakes Klak up and asks him to watch the ship while Syric does his inspection and So Leet continues his trancelike whatever he's doing. He hands him a flask full of brandy before leaving.

Dood then sets off to arrange for fuel for 15 days (we have 5 days of fuel, this will push us to 20 days) and provisions for 7 people for 16 days (with the nuna steaks that should give us 20 days of food - total cost 1870cr), supplying 370cr of his own for these purposes (should leave me with 463cr). Dood arranges to have all of this delivered by tomorrow morning.

I hope someone is willing to kick another bit of credits to us or this is going to be a really short trip with no cargo, Dood thinks as he makes final arrangements to take delivery of the supplies.

[ooc]That exhaust's current funds for the company. Dood is willing to put his 463 toward the company for the weapons licensing or the escrow. Assuming Dood contributes an additional 400cr to the company, that leaves us 1100cr short[/ooc]

[ooc] sorry been with my guests today.
"Everything looks ok on the ship. I'll take care of the armaments for the ships. I'd also like to see how helpful those droids would be. As for emplacements we don't have the current capital for it. At 25k for the basic jamming array and 1 day per emplacements point we don't really have the time or the money to deal with that.
As for myself I want to head to an arms dealer. I want explosives. I'll be more specific when I get home tonight. I'll also put up cash towards room and board and crap. Again I'll hit the specifics in a bit.

While T3 inspects the ship, Wailer pokes around to get familiar with the layout. When the provisions arrive he stores them away. After T3 finishes his inspection, Wailer reads the report. Any deficiencies that can be corrected quickly with little to no cost (total of 100 credits max) are assigned to T3. During this time, Wailer begins begins to call T3 "Slick" in Gungan. Wailer gets the impression that Slick likes his new nickname.

Towards dinner time, Wailer tells Slick to stop work so they can lock up and go to dinner at the Sweet Delilah.

Trying to figure out how much everyone is contributing. I have not deducted anything since I gave the formula for supplies cost etc etc because tehre are lots of numbers floating around. So if you are chipping into the company tell me how much has been given to Dood and Dood tell me what is purchased and any contribution you have made.

Tomorrow I'd like to have you guys jump into hyperspace and off Tat.

It is dinner the night before 6pm as of now.

Looking back to So, "What kind of ship mods are we looking at? We should probably get started"
Dood now has 1933 (1500 is company money)
The Company now has 1500
Syric has 915.5

The company division of ownership is
Arillius 47.62%
So Leet 42.69%
Cuspar 4.93%
Syric 4.76%
GM asked about company finances. After licensing the ship and collecting Syric's money, this was our status.

To purchase consumables, Dood contributed 370cr to the company, which spent 1870 on fuel and food to bring us to a total of 20 days of both. Arrican is currently offering to purchase the weapons' license as well, unless I'm mistaken and that has already been paid for.

This leaves the company with zero funds, Dood with 463cr. Outstanding bills include the 1000cr escrow account for the dewbacks and (again I'm fuzzy on this) possibly the weapons' license for the ship.

During dinner (insert at appropriate time if necessary)

While I was out this afternoon I stopped by the Czerka store to inquire about obtaining a couple droids to help us on our endevours. I checked on both new and used and they did not have any used medical droids, only new ones, which are 4300 credits each. They also had labor droids, 1000 for new and 800 for used. I was thinking we probably want to invest in a medical droid considering our duty to recover porkchop is likely going to be dangerous and people are going to get hurt and need medical attention and I don't think any of us are qualified to do so. I was thinking the labor droids would be useful for saving us the manual labor or loading and unloading the ship with food, fuel, rations and cargo. Unfortunately I did not have enough credits to afford the medical droid or I would have purchased one already. How are our finances? And where do we stand in preparation to leave tomorrow?

Dood looks around the table and then rises to speak.

"Financially speaking, several of us are individually well-off. Our business concern is currently standing at a zero balance, having exhausted our current investment in the purchase of food and fuel for the trip to Bryx. We currently have 20 days of both, and the food can obviously be stretched further if needed. Our pending trip will take us approximately 18 days in hyperspace.

Tomorrow, most of us will depart for Bryx as we try to track down Jounville. I say "most of us" because, for those of you that are unaware, the Gungan has purchased a ship. He is outfitting it on his own and is making preparations to return to Lok to ensure that we haven't missed any clues there as to where or why Jounville has been taken.

My understanding is that Padawan Wailer is willing to make the trip alone, but he has said that he would not mind help or company. While I question the wisdom of splitting our party into two groups, I can't deny that I too wanted to spend more time on Lok. I also can't say that I am 100% comfortable sending Wailer off alone. One of the reasons I wanted to meet tonight was to discuss who, if any of us, would be joining him.

I'm sure our young Jedi would be willing to answer any questions we might have."

Syric looks around to confirm that everyone is present before speaking.

"All right, well we've got our ship and we'll be heading for Bryx tomorrow once the weapons have been inspected," turning to So Leet "You said you would handle that, right So? I'm not sure what that's going to cost"

Taking a quick sip from his flask before it dissapears back into his jacket he continues, "Speaking of cost, Aderbrent Services seems to be a little credit light at the moment. I threw in 1000credits and I don't know who else can contribute, but there are some costs we need to take care of before we take off. "

Well, given our current financial situation, food stores, etc I think purchasing the droids I was looking at probably wouldn't be the most prudent move. I still think it's something we should do down the line, but I think getting enough food and fuel to get to Bryx and beyond is more important. So the credits I had set aside from those droid purchases I believe I'm going to reallocate to the company. Will 3500 credits be sufficient to get us adequate supplies, etc for our next leg?

Financial update:
Name Contribution Ownership %
Arillius 10000 40.21%
So Leet 8964 36.04%
Eli 3500 14.07%
Cuspar 1036 4.17%
Syric 1000 4.02%
Dood 370 1.49%

Company total contributions: 24870
Company Total Spending: -21370
Company balance: +3500

I assume Eli gave Dood the 3500 to hold as CFO

Personal cash levels.
Bulwark 1000
Cuspar 149
Dood 3963 (3500 is company cash)
Eli 604
Klak 213
So Leet 19047
Syric 915.5
Wailer 4994

Also because we are splitting the party and you guys have a payment plan on the ship, I am going to retroactively have day 1 of the campaign be Jan 1st and come up with a timeline. Since it is conceivable the travel times will differ when addressing folks I will put the date on the post if relevant.

Post by Reese » Tue Mar 15, 2011 3:52 pm

Klak comes in from guarding the ship to hear the end of the conversation. "I hear we may be splitting. For my money my furry friend Dood has kept me steady handed" tapping the flask "so I shall be staying by his side".

Klak finishes the last of the flask and looks at it irritated. He heads back to the ship entrance to continue it's watch.

[ooc - do we have passive perception so I can just watch the door and stop anyone not in our party from entering?]
