I've pre-ordered but the beta weekend is during PAX South so I doubt I will be participating as I doubt the wifi provided by the hotel would be adequate even if I bring my ps4.

May give my Brother-in-law my beta code so if your freinds with him, may see him playing it.

I did switch with Amazon to the Gold edition and it did take a while after the confirmation for them to send me the beta code.

I read that for digital, it will just show up on my ps4, they did that for people with Rainbow 6.

Enter the code, and get 4 outfits and guns.

Been deciding if I'm picking this up or not... leaning towards "will"

I haven't really followed the development of it, so I'm a bit in the dark. Intend to do some reading today.

in case you guys haven't seen but they are extending the beta 24 hours, so will end Tuesday now.

Though sounded like they may hit capacity so may or may not be able to get in.

I am very sad the game won't be out for another month :woe:

This is honestly what Destiny needed to be, at least as far as features are concerned. Also, the movement and gunplay was very easy to adjust to since I am a previous disciple of the Gears of War games. A lot of folks don't like Third-person over-the-shoulder shooters but I do not mind at all. It's cool to be able to actually see what my character looks like, as well as any alterations I make to the characters apparel.

Otherwise I have to say that this is the best looking game set in a "real" world that I have ever seen (MGSV on PC notwithstanding). My previous bar was actually set with the Crysis games.

I figure most (if not all) of you know my general aversion to PVP.. as Dashl said we were in right in there and it was pretty fun. Nothing seemed out of balance, or terribly overwhelming. The movement mechanics were on point. Whether any of that changes after they unlock the rest of the features will remain to be seen.

I still find much joy over the guy that ganked us at the extraction and then cried foul in Proximity Chat when we kept annihilating him afterwards.

While I was disappointed about the fact that so much content was locked for the beta, what was there just left me hungering to see the rest.

Still can't decided if I was lucky going to PAX South instead so the wait isn't as bad for me or if that is just me trying to come up with excuses on not getting to play in the beta.

Otherwise good to get good news coming from the beta as there is still a part of me hesitant preordering after the burning I got from Watchdogs.

Yeah they mentioned this on IGN today as well. It would be an open Beta this time around apparently.

Would make sense since they where calling this a closed beta to have an open especially if they extended the closed to get more people to presumably stress test things, but may have just been to answer the call on people wanting to play some.

Hopefully that will also mean removing some of the restrictions to increase the amount playable.

Just the 19th, that weekend, or what?

Maarkin made me decide I'll at least try the Beta, we'll see if I actually get it. But that's a munchkin weekend so I won't have much time to play...
They say when you go on a quest for vengence to dig two graves. They underestimate me.

Started the download Tuesday Evening when they first opened it up since I was going to be starting from scratch, though meant to verify it finished successfully yesterday since I put it in sleep mode after an hour.
