Our own TF2 server?

Hey folks.
I've set up a dedicated linux TF2 server for my son and a friend of his. However, it gets very little use right now and I thought I could repurpose it into a general "Church of Alvis TF2" server. We could play whatever we wanted on it, of course. And we could also do things like set it up for MVM and play that if we like.
What's your thoughts? Right now it's password-protected and has a minimal config. What I'd need to know is:
* What maps would we want in the rotation?
* Should it be open or password-protected?
* Who would be the admins if it's open?
* What other settings would we like to see?
