This is releasing in less than 2 weeks..

I'm paying up my pre-order today... anyone else on board?

Also, making sure I have my Bloodborne pre-order in today as well...

I saw the trailer for this and loved it. If it were on PC, I'd buy it.

I was, until I read about the black bars, and excessive QTE's.

Regardless, I still want to give it a chance. It's a unique setting and original work, even if the execution is not incredibly imaginative.

At the worst, it'll give me a few days of entertainment/frustration, and I'll unload it for something else.

OK, so upon further review....

I am going to wait for a price drop to play this.

I am not generally one to jump on a hype train, but when the hype train sounds this bad... and across each place I am reading reviews they all have the same negative points... then I am going to hold off.

So far all I am seeing is this:

1. that the game looks stunningly fantastic (good)
2. there are virtually no "monster" fights (bad)
3. the shooting is superbly linear (boring)
4. the shooting is unoriginal (bad)
5. the shooting is mostly against lobotomized human-folk (boring)
6. the stealth melee-kill is nearly impossibru, and you are insta-killed if you fail (lame)
7. many, many cutscenes that area apparently extraneous.... (meh)
8. .... which lead into a gazillion QTE's (bleh)
9. Total playtime is apparently averaging something around 7+ hours (sad)

I saw 5 hours of play, 3 was cutscenes (that you can't skip on future plays) and no new game plus. I don't even think it's worth a rental.

Since I can't seem to help myself, I picked this up for 20 bucks new yesterday. No idea when I will get around to playing it.

Started and finished it in one playthrough, in one day, even the platinum trophy.

How about that Boss fight.. er, I mean opening sequence.. er, I mean Boss fight.. or was it the opening sequence?

I am not unhappy that I did not play this, but I am unhappy that I did not play this because it was not as big or original as it was being set up to be.

If they got rid of the qte's, and letterbox, and had co op it would have been better. Graphics were amazing. I paid 20, and the trade in will get me 11, thank goodness I didn't pay full price.
