It's been a while, we need to do a TF2 night again
Yeah, what the subject said.
When I was downloading the star wars humble bundle I looked at TF2 for a moment and saw I hadn't played it since April of last year. Which means it's been like 9 months since we did that. It's time to do it again...

I could get behind this.

I'm in as long as I don't have to watch Marrkin have some PC-sexy-time.

Either implies 2 options. But this saturday night works for me.

I was going to suggest next Saturday as well but then realized that's v-day which may make a difference for some.Blackferne wrote:Furiel wrote:Glad you asked, I was thinking either this Saturday night if people are available.

The previous host went out of business. So if we are using something other than in game vent like thingy, we'd have to start something else. Options include google hangout or skype. I'd say let's start with in game and see how that goes first.

8pm central was the suggested time and no one has said no about that, so 8 shall be the time of the gaming, and the time of the gaming shall be 8! 9 is straight out!!

Ok. I did this very quickly. I installed vent server on my server. This is the free version so it has 8 connections.

Thanks folks- couldn't stay long but it was fun! Nice crowd on that server.
Furiel, sorry I cut you off; I heard you start to say something as I clicked the close button on Vent.

Re: It's been a while, we need to do a TF2 night again
Doesn't necessarily have to be TF2 but have been thinking of suggesting the first Saturday for an Alvis game day, that way we aren't likely to have things take another nine months before doing this again.

Re: It's been a while, we need to do a TF2 night again
Since the last time we played my daughter has taken an interest in TF2. We played on a beta server with a map/game type called Asteroid/Robot destruction which is kinda neat.
The game play is each team has a base with three sets of robots which patrol part of the base. As you kill the robots you collect these cores which are added to your teams total. You cannot kill the B set of robots until all of the A set is killed, and cannot kill the C set until B is gone. After you collect some amount you have this canister in the back of your base which can be stolen to flip the point totals. (ie I can steal 50 canisters from your team and get it back to my team.
Next time we do a TF2 we should consider this map.
