My PS4 wont turn on anymore. Woke up this morning and it took me nearly a half hour to get it powered up.... later in the day it randomly shut off on its own (not power save) and now you can hear the power supply try to kick but it just goes dark within 3 seconds or so.
I'm not even abe to initialize Safe Mode, so I honestly think the internal power supply is shot....

So yeah, working on trying to contact Sony Cust support... phone menu was normal this morning, but I had a bad phone connection so I hung up to call back. Tried calling now for the better part of 2 hours and just now got through to a message that stated that they are not accepting any more calls "due to a technical issue".
This is seriously effing up my end-of-year gameplay...
Even better, since I am unable to find any of my extended warranty info or my receipt, my system is considered out-of-warranty... so I will be paying for repair out of pocket. Also, some of us were discussing the PS protection plan last night... turns out I cannot add it unless my system had been purchased within the last 12 months. I cannot prove (nor disprove) a purchase date
Depending on the repair cost I may just buy a new console instead lol....

I have a brand new console straight from a sealed box.. Gamestop came through, and found my purchase and warranty info, and just swapped it out right there in the store.
Apparently the guy I talked to there yesterday (same exact store) didn't know wtf he was talking about when he said they couldn't help.
Worst case, I may have lost all my Dragon Age and Diablo save files. Best case, they were loaded to the cloud and I can just pull them down. Other than that, I'm set with a new console and a re-upped extended warranty

Lost all my save files, so I get to start everything over from scratch except Destiny....
The worst of these is:
1. The Last of Us (because everything takes....so... long.....)
2. Dragon Age: Inq (over 60 hrs)
I wasn't terribly far into Shadow of Mordor fortunately. Anything else I don't really care.
At least this console works and I'm not boned for home entertainment.
Think I'm gonna start doing Monthly backups on a gig-stick though...
