So you are saying farm them now and store them until the patch? I think that is what this means.

nope they addressed that only engrams that drop after the patch and legendary engrams stored will downgrade to rare engrams.

Not really... because of this:

• Legendary Engram items that exist in your inventory will be demoted to Rare quality when the patch goes live, so decode them while you can. But let’s be honest--even if you don’t, we all know they were blues already...

Xur is under the ship area in the disco cantina thing.

The bounty cost me 1 strange coin. Now he has an exotic auto rifle that I am tempted to buy.

Word on the street is that the Suros is great for PVE, but crap for PVP.

I know you aren't a big PVP fan in this case, but thought I'd just throw that out there...

I bought the chest piece, to break it down for shards. I bought the engram, and it gave me the same helmet I wear, and I broke it down for shards. Helmet gave 3, chest gave 2, and the reward for that public we did late last night was 1 shard.

i got a legendary helm that gives me 22 light i was thinking of getting the exotic from xur the helm, but the exotic offers 21 light. should i down grade my light for an exotic or get the auto rifle

When you fully upgrade an exotic piece, it will be +30 light. Exotic is always better.

I thought all I knew was legendary maxed to 27 the few I saw that where epic early in the release weren't maxed.

After looking into it wild/vendor legendaries max out at 27 but raid legendaries max out at 30 just like exotics.
