A plan for 1.3

Post by Blackferne » Wed May 23, 2012 4:48 am

In 1.3 we can have social gear that scales with our armor class. At the moment all social gear is light armor which at a tanking trooper is not viable. In addition we will be able to craft augment kits to augment our social gear.

The plan. A full tusken raider force. To get the tusken gear you need social 3. Each piece is relatively cheap, but modding it out to be viable could get pricey. That said as a project (assuming interest) of running dailies and normal ev/kp for mods armoring etc, could be a lot of fun.

If this interests you please post and we can see about making it happen.

5 pieces will be quite expensive to transfer all our mods too. at 35k per mod and 3 mods per pieces, we are looking at 1/2 million credits. :woe:

Sounds like a plan. A cunning and devious plan.

This is IF you use all your current gear. Or you can do a week or so worth of dailies to get the comms, mods and enhances to mod out the 5 armor pieces with that stuff, which is more than sufficient for EV story.

Also, I'm down.

To further Furiel's point I'm thinking of it as something to do and record on story mode only. And walking from pull to pull is done single file. I'm not proposing we do it with top end gear, just enough to get a "Tusken takedown of Soa" type thing.

So, no ranged dps? According to Obi Wan sand peoples aim sucks and Imp storm trooped aim is good as per the "this blaster fire is to accurate for sand people" line.

You misinterpret that statement. The quote is "These blast points are too accurate for sand people. Only Imperial Storm Troopers are so precise." What it's supposed to mean is that the sand people are more savage and they would have shot the sandcrawler full of holes, whereas the imperials only shot the weak points to disable the sandcrawler before slaughtering the jawas in it. It's not accuracy, but efficiency, that Obi-Was was talking about.

Step 1 to make this happen is get to Social 3. If you need to grind social points the two most effective means I've found are run all the Belsavis dailies in a group or run Esseles (on normal). With two people the usual amount of social points is around 100. The dailies also grinds money and daily comms which are nice.

Fun fact: There is a belsavis daily in the north where you have to weld that monster in. If you kill the monster instead you get a codex entry.

I think I'm still on Social 2. We should try and make sure we get some daily groups in between now and 1.3.

I'm in a similar boat, agree that we need some socializing runs.

The Tusken outfit has a helmet, chest (stops at waist), lower robe looking thing, gloves and boots.

And Maizan I saw something flash in on my screen so I assumed it was there, but I have not gone to double check.

I thought that it just was an "appearance" alteration and it used the mods of whatever gear you had on? Meaning you could swap out any and all social items for free with the mods on your best gear.

Or maybe I just misheard..

Oh and I already bought the Tusken helmet, it was my plan already to wear it, so 1.3 was a very welcome surprise to me.

Too bad I'm lucky if I see 5 people on any given planet to actually group with and get social points.. I'm sitting at like 26 in total right now, so not even Social 1 :woe:
