I'm accepting new avatars

Post by Blackferne » Tue Jun 29, 2010 4:08 pm

If you have something you want put into the avatar gallery post it here and I'll add it.

Conditions:
1) All avatars must be 90 pixels by 90 pixels so they stay the same size as what everyone else has.
2) Must be Star Wars related. This is pretty broad but it must have an obvious Star Wars link. So just because Mark Hamill played Luke, and later did the Joker in the Batman Animated series, and the joker was also played by Jack Nicholson, who was in the shining would not merit a "Here's Johnny" Nicholson with an ax breaking a door avatar. However if you were to photoshop that famous pic to be a Stormtrooper breaking in saying "Here's Vader!" I would allow it.
3) As always cannot be obscene. It must be SFW.
4) If animated please keep it pretty small so it won't take forever to load on slow connections/older computers.

Question: If the avatar is based on my logo, which is based on my SWG character, does this fall under the Nicholson Rule or is it permissible?

It is permissible.

And I'll upload dark helmet soon.

Edit: Soon is now, or I guess I should say was then.

Open the file in MS Paint. Under the image menu option there is a stretch and skew option. Assuming you already cropped the image to make sure it is a perfect square, just enter the same % in horizontal and vertical. It might take a few skews to get it right. You can check the pixel size using image->attributes.

If you are on a mac, I don't know.

There are two methods. The first one is to stand really far away from your computer. The second one involves a pigmy, plastic spoon and 13 pounds of baking soda. I have to warn you, this is illegal in 27 states and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Since I noticed Cuspar didn't have an avatar selected I took the liberty to give him this.

Oh instead of confirming that it is uploaded, once I do it, I'll just log in to the admin panel and set yours as what you put up.
