So the forum seems to be crawling really slowly this morning. I've opened a ticket with the host to see if we can get it fixed. Ugh.

My slowness issues, especially at work, never did get solved. But today has been extra bad, I did get a couple http 504 bad gateway errors earlier today as well.

We upgraded to a business class account to see if that would resolve the issue for you, but it is still a shared server environment. I never got word back on your trace route specifically, but I'm wondering if the typical day slowness for you is your end.

Outside today does anyone else experience slowness on a regular basis?

I mostly visit the site from my Crunchberry phone, and I've NEVER had an issue. It's not even 4G, either.

When I had my laptop, I never had an issue, either.

It's slow as balls frequently for me. Not so much today.

Raikir and Furiel are you able to determine what ISP you are using when it is slow as balls? (today excluded)

I had some hiccups this morning. Although I have changed nothing on the back end of any of the blogs etc in the last few weeks, I went ahead and disabled any (once daily, at midnight) automated backups, in case they were misbehaving and taking up too many resources.

Shit be broke again. Reese is having issues and it's slow as fuck for me and I'm getting sporadic 504 bad gateway errors again today.

If it were just "too much traffic" we'd be getting 500 errors like that time that haxxors were trying to ping the back end of wordpress. But we're not. One minute it's fine and snappy and the next it simply will not load, as if the page doesn't exist at all.

p.s. for those of you following along at home, there was absolutely no traffic spike in the last... week. Seriously. It's pretty much a flat line of consistent activity for the entire month, including yesterday.

This happened to me for about a 20 minute period earlier while trying to browse the site from my Crunchberry.

You may take this as my express written consent to use my trademarked phrase "bloated sack of fetus vomit" while talking to them.

If anyone having an issue can run a traceroute:
In Windows, select Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.

Enter the word tracert, followed by a space, then the domain name.
And PM or email me at blackferne (at) thechurchofalvis.com when it is slow or not repsonsive it give me data to throw in their faces.

As you know, I'm on here from my crunchberry 99 percent of the time.

Just got this while trying to send a PM:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Illegal mix of collations (latin1_swedish_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_general_ci,COERCIBLE) for operation '=' [1267]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.
