Timmah pointed this out to me; the latest little patch broke companions. They don't get any of the stats from their gear any time they re-spawn; after entering new area, loading off speeder, etc.
Sure enough my lvl 42 Doc has about 202 endurance. Not quite good.

That would also seem to include Presence as well not being accounted.

Supposedly you can unequip/re-equip the gear to get the stats to work.

Looks like if I play at all tonight it's playing my baby vanguard who doesn't have any companions yet, or just do space combat.
