Breaktime

Post by Marrkin » Tue Nov 13, 2012 7:45 pm

Just an FYI, I plan on taking a serious break from the game. Too many things going on IRL, none of which are bad, but my time is divided anyway. And as my other recent post stated, I am burnt out and need a break anyway. Might log in here and there, but I will be a ghost otherwise for probably at least a couple weeks, quote possibly longer.

Awww. I understand but awww. Breaks are good because they let you recharge your batteries and find the love of the game again.

Well,

Keeping it nice and short, I probably wont be back. In retrospect, the limited grind of the game killed me.

Its been nearly a month now and honestly I have had no desire to log in an play whatsoever.

Can't say that wont change down the road, but for the time being I'm done with SWTOR.

Only thing I've actually missed is all you guys.

The advantage here is that I have been spending alot more time maintaining my apartment, customizing my car, and catching up on things I put down a long time ago. I even go to bed at a semi-normal hour half the time.

Thank you for accepting me into the family, so to speak. I hope you all prosper in the many ways you deserve.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Althought tbh I expected it.
Doesn't mean I'm not still disappointed.
Too bad too IMO, TFB is the best raid they've made yet and you won't get to experience it.
Keep in touch bro, and if you decide to come back I'll try not to set you on fire.
No promises tho.

TFB is fun. I enjoyed the runs we made. The rest of the game however was triggering my "meh" reflex. I was mainly there for ops for probably the last 6 to 8 weeks I had been playing. I loved running ops overall, but the rest of the game grind was getting to me.

Don't know how else to explain it, and for me to be more eloquent would require me not typing it out on my phone hehe

I don't recall you being with on any TFB runs. EV, KP and EC yes, TFB is the newest one that came with 1.5 and is kinda awesome. And also highly profitable, but that's beside the point. Sucks you are gone but better to leave then burn out and hate not just the game but us too because we convinced you to keep doing something you aren't enjoying.

Don't be a stranger...or at least don't BE any stranger and feel free to stick around the forums to chat. You will be missed.

Marrkin I may have liked you and you may be a great guy, but that won't stop me from saying the truth. You are a great tanking partner. I'm gonna go listen to "best breakup songs ever" playlist and have a good cry now.

Seriously stick around the forums and if we are doing a nonswtor thing that tickles your fancy (see happyclam's repopulation thread in Off Topic for instance) don't be a stranger.

Wow, Joun's gas/electric hybrid got wrecked, then his SWTOR tanking partner left him....it's like some kind of techie geek country song.

I feel like he should be singing Captain Jack. Which is also a sad song about being alone! Works on so many levels.

Now he is the bad guy on Arrow. Marrkin, you should try Far Cry 3. It is Skyrim with guns. Or Skyrim with guns, but the animals of the jungle hunt you.

You know what? F U Joun. This wasn't hard enough? I'm trying to enjoy a nice trip to NH with the family. Mark leaving isn't enough? You have to post that? How is this weekend supposed to be fun?!? Damn you Both...no point in lying to the 3 y/o about Santa. Might as well crush them before they can have any hope that life is rewarding; no magic here sweetheart. Just disappointment and abandonment. Good luck, kid!

How you liking Arrow?

I'm happy with the DC Comics+Dawson Creek formula the CW seems to have perfected.

Arrow is my favorite new show. It doesn't have a lot of that sappy teenage drama crap that Smallville started off with. It has action, and he is not afraid to kill if he has to.

Think Batman Begins, but with killing. Though they have toned that down a bit since the pilot episode.

Yeah I been looking at FC3. Still working Skyrim though, and need to finish BL2. Playing on the weekends mostly so time is a factor. Hell, I still have Halo 4, FFXIII, FFIX and Gran Turismo 5 to finish as well.

I'm digging it too. Since I didn't know anything about Oliver Queen except what was on Smallville it is really neat for me because I have so little knowledge over who may or may not be a big name in his stories.

Also I now want to take up archery.

That sounds like a wonderful idea, until you take an arrow to the knee.
