Hi!
Blackferne and Furiel offered a generous hand in inviting me to submit to this guild so here's my official app. I did one already on the Swtor website but gave quick answers figuring it was here you wanted the big one. Sorry if you wanted me to be serious on both.
1. What is your name?
Lonomonkey on most of the web. In game is undecided yet but Morehnai (or variation of More) is likely
2. What is your attraction to the Church of Alvis?
I'm in Eff the Ineffable in WoW and a lot of the people I enjoy playing with over there are coming to this guild with ToR launch. I'd like to be able to keep playing with them.
3. Please describe in detail your favorite gaming moment. This should be a good story not just a one liner like "I beat Mario, the credits rolled. It was awesome."
It will probably sound cheesy as hell but my best gaming moment happened way back in Vanilla WoW when I had no idea what I was doing and was just messing around. Me and 3 other friends decided we wanted to clear Maraudon one evening. We had no idea what we were doing and it took us close to 5 hours just to reach the Princess. We struggled for upward of an hour to kill her and I just had a ton of fun wiping with my best buddies because the huge princess farted (We had someone call DOOOMMMM FARTTT on vent everytime, still cracks me up).
So, eventually we killed her and that kill, with 3 other buddies, where we struggled like hell was the most rewarding and the most fun I ever had and I wish to relive that some day.
I hope you enjoyed this little bit of gaming bliss.

I'll still have a sith somehwere, hidden...
Re: Application: Lonomonkey
If it makes you feel better there is also discussions of having a Sith offshoot guild as well. Just not at launch, it would be a project for post-launch once we're established and the game and guild are humming along smoothly and we're looking for a new challenge.
And of course you can be as evil as you want to be and still be republic, we don't care as long as you were drunk and vengeful in the process.

First of all, WoW? Really? You don't have any experience playing any real MMO's? Second of all, anyone here who has played WoW was drunk at the time and at least has an excuse or should have one. But welcome aboard regardless.

Lonomonkey, I'm taking you under my protection. If anything happens to you, anything at all, I swear to you I will get very choked up. Honestly, there could be tears.

Is his blog.
And just to put Arrican's comment in context, Morehnai is French Canadian. Give him all the due consideration for having English as a second language. Though to be fair he has better skills in English than Eke, Kitoshi, or Vesp.

Re: Application: Lonomonkey
Alvian French Canadians for teh win.
French Canadian beer is not for wussies. Quebec brands like "La Maudite" (translation: "The Damned") and "La Fin Du Monde" ("The End of the World") are usually 8-9% alcohol and typically reserved for people who favor drunkenness. See link below:
http://www.unibroue.com/en/beers/maudite/product
Notice the logo has Canadian Canoers, canoeing straight to hell (and likely get wasted in the process).
Seeing as the legal drinking age in Quebec is 18, and I bought my first beer over the counter without being carded at 15...it makes for interesting growing up experiences. I'm sure if he's a Quebecer he'll be a great fit for Alvis.
Ben ouais Lono - moi aussi chu français!!! Comment ca-va, boss? Bienvenue au guilde!

Re: Application: Lonomonkey
hey hey!!
Salut Dodd! On vas se faire du fun noir
First of all thanks for the warm welcome.
To answer the question about WoW and being drunk I want to remind everyone I'm canadian, thus, I am always drunk. I simply do not know what "sober" Lonomonkey looks like. I started drinking at 15 and don't think I've ever stopped. Plus, we have the best beer here, not like your water with a taste of alcool you have in the US.
I winz at alcool! Simple as that

Damnit! Why did you like Dood website. On top of beer tonight, I want to make like all the drinks from his blog. It's going to cost me a fortune later..
But still, I know a master when I see one.

PS: I'm a huge fan of rum.

But remember, and feel to flaunt this in his face whenever, you can legally purchase and own Cuban rum.Lonomonkey wrote:Damnit! Why did you like Dood website. On top of beer tonight, I want to make like all the drinks from his blog. It's going to cost me a fortune later..
