weekly <rancor> hunt
We had a lot of fun doing the mechwarrior thing last night. Blackie suggested we do a weekly event like this until SWTOR releases.
Team Fortess2 was proposed for next week's event (because its free).
What days work best for everyone? Also, what are other good free/cheap games to play?

Re: weekly <rancor> hunt
Last night worked fine for me. So Wednesday nights are good. I'd suggest if we intend on doing weekly hunts once SWTOR launches, we use the same night. We can then transition seamlessly once the game launches into weekly hunts, without shifting our schedules much.
There are a ton of f2p MMOs out there...I've been playing Runes of Magic on the Govinda Server, and I also have an account for LOTRO. But quite frankly...I love me some pew pew and prefer games like Mechwarror or any FPS type where you just jump in and play, you don't need to commit yourself to levelling at all.
In spite of my mouse steering/overheating issues, it was fun to chase Blackie around and capture the flag. Good times.

I can generally make most nights work, so long as it's 8 PM Mountain time or later...

Re: weekly <rancor> hunt
Wednesdays are currently spotty for me due to vball and the variable match times.
Mondays are almost always open.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are clear but not until 8:45-9ish central.

They say when you go on a quest for vengence to dig two graves. They underestimate me.

Wednesdays are the best for me. I'd prefer a different game than mechwarrior.

Yeah as much as there are great F2P MMOs out there I'd like to keep the game night stuff where we all can jump in pretty easily. Games should be free or pretty cheap(under $10) unless enough people have it to do (like I don't know how many of you have SC2 for example). I'm pretty flexible most nights except Friday and Saturday right now.

I'm going to throw out a suggestion for Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds too. It's like 9 years old so I'm sure there are free downloads of it out there somewhere, and it's Star Wars - RTS. What could be more fun than that?!?!

To be fair though I only looked for 10 minutes.

I forgot all about galactic battlegrounds! I think I have a copy somewhere
Spoiler:
Re: weekly <rancor> hunt
I bought the Lucasarts pack from Steam last year. I haven't played most of the games that came with it, but I don't think Battlegrounds was one of them. I know Empire of War was, haven't played that one, but Leth is usually playing that one.
Re: weekly <rancor> hunt
I was cleaning my basement and I located Empire at War so that would be an option as well.
