Screw a video card, I'm building a whole new rig for this...
I'd prefer to use newegg.com or compusa.com. My budget is like $750, that will include everything.
I found this set up $549.00 from compusa -
• AMD A6-Series Quad-Core A6-3650 2.6GHz APU
• MSI Motherboard
• Patriot 8GB DDR3 Memory
• Thermalake V2 ATX Case with 450W Power Supply
• Samsung 22x DVD Burner
• Seagate 2TB Hard Drive
• Windows 7 Home Premium
And I'd probably drop another $150 - $200 on a video card.
I couldn't really find anything on newegg.com but I'm tired so I might have missed some crap.
Any suggestions or builds I'm down to hear about it.

That processor is one of AMD's new fusion line, which is a GPU and CPU integrated on the same die. Its based on an older version of their CPUs (Athlon 2 I think). It kicks the snot out of integrated graphics solutions from Intel, but the processor doesn't compare to an Intel or any of the standard AMD parts. Its primarily designed to fit the niche of low-cost laptops that can do a little gaming.
Best bang for the buck would be a Phenom 2 x4.
My recommendations:
Radeon HD6850 or higher vid card with at least 1 gig of gddr5 ram. 8 gigs of system memory. Splurge a little on a good 750 watt power supply (future-proof, in case you want to go crossfire or SLI). Hard drives are personal preference, as long as its 7200rpm or faster.

I agree, the CPU seems a little underspecced for the rest of the system.

Ok this is being sold at compusa right now.
I7-2600 3.40, 8gb ddr3, 1.5tb hd, radeon hd 6450
It's $750. Worth it?

Vid card is kinda weak. It'll probably play TOR, but not much else. How big is the PSU?

I prefer Intel CPUs and NVidia Cards.

Better CPU. Better GPU. Really good HDD. PSU is a reliable Antec that will get the job done. Pretty good case. Love G.Skill RAM.
Should be everything you need. Good rig. $668. A little extra with shipping. Maybe with the extra money go to an i5-2500 (2500k if you want to O.C.) or GTX 560. Maybe just get an aftermarket cooler for CPU or GPU. That GPU is really long, my only concern would be it fitting in the case (I think it will, but I am always scared about the size of these new cards.)

Re: Screw a video card, I'm building a whole new rig for thi
Actually not a better CPU. Just better choice. The i7s are for more than your typical gamer. So unless you do video editing or something along those lines I wouldn't waste my money on an i7.
Re: Screw a video card, I'm building a whole new rig for thi
The A6 series is mainly for general use and media centers. The A8 is decent. I'd still probably go Corei5.
What's your budget goal? I'll spec you a real system... you just have to put it together (not hard). I can run with $750, but I don't include OSes (or mice/kb/anything) in the build price unless specifically requested. Shipping is also not included, and I factor Mail-In Rebates in the final price.
Gigabyte GA-Z68 Motherboard = $115
Intel Corei5-2500 CPU = $200
GSkill Sniper 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600 = $50
Seagate 1TB SATA-600 HD = $55
Gigabyte GeForce 560GTX Super-OC = $210
Samsung DVD-R SATA = $17
Antec EW-850w PSU = $70 (after $25 MIR)
Xigmatek Asgard II case = $30
$747 close enough? lol. If you want to spend a little more on the case, you can drop to a 460GTX and save maybe $40 or so.
Add WIndows 7 x64 Home Premium for $100

Re: Screw a video card, I'm building a whole new rig for thi
850 watt PSU is a little much for this rig, imo. Can save some money there off SirP's rig. Looks good though. Have you used the new Gigabyte Z68 mobos? I hear people hate the bios.
Re: Screw a video card, I'm building a whole new rig for thi
And for like 15 bucks more on the CPU SirP listed you can go for the 2500k and O.C.
