Hey Furiel, I saw your fb post on The Dresden Files. Have you seen the TV series? What is the last book in that series? I believe he has something coming out soon, if not already.

Have you ready any of the Discworld series by Terry Prattchet? Or the Fall of the Malizan Empire series by Ericison?

Nope, didn't watch the TV series. Cold Days is the last book of the series currently. Skin Game comes out in May so I've got a few months. I settled on the Mistborn trilogy and I started it last night. Your response on FB is what actually sold me on finally reading that. It'd been sitting on my bookshelves since the fall, figured it was about time.

And no I haven't read either of those series, I'll put them on my list. Thanks! :rave:

If you like Dresden, you might consider the Donovan DeChance series. I narrated the audio versions, which you can get on Audible (blatant plug). Search for "DeChance Chronicles".

I've been reading the Vladimir Taltos series by Brust to my son and daughter, they're enjoying it thoroughly. Also, if you want something a bit grittier, Tad Williams' "The Dirty Streets of Heaven", which is the first in the Bobby Dollar series, is REALLY good.

I started the Dresden TV series and liked it but someone kept telling me to read the books so I've put it off, although I never got around to reading them either. :woe:

I found the tv show channel surfing and was hooked quickly. I eventually noticed the based on a series by Jim Butcher line in the credits and was hooked on the books. Loved his other series too. Very different from the standard magic norms. I guess that is why I likes the Recluse series too.

Terry Pratchetts discword series also has some very entertaining young reader books - Scottish Pixies. :) He also likes to do parodies on classics. I was roflma many times. Macbeth and phantom of the opera are too that come to mind.
