I think what happened here is pretty obvious.

Leth was driving down them country backroads, like you do, and done run over a varmint. Now, the exact genus of the varmint in question isn't really important. It's quite possible that we're looking at the squashed remains of a squirrel or possum - maybe even a fox or a coon. But in the end, I believe "varmint" will do just fine to discuss the problem our dear Leth faces.

It seems to me, based on his rather emphatic declaration, that Leth has definitely gotten said varmint - or bits thereof - embedded in the tread of his tires, and is seeking advice on how to remove the varmint pate from his tread, which may or may not be the spawn of Satan or some car dealership affiliated therewith (I can't say for certain why else his tired would be damned unless by "varmint" we mean priest in which case we should also check the undercarriage for an altar boy).
