Video just came out from Gamescomm - the commentator is speaking German so nothing to be learned there.

Well, we learned that apparently Zabraks and Miralans can be Troopers, Germans like to make StormTroopers feel bad about themselves and Cloning seems to be the resurrection method.

We also learned several other things I picked up on a rewatch.

At 1:27 of the video the guy equips some new boots, if you pause it just at the right time and are good at reading pixxelated text you can see that the boots say bound, have a durability rating, and have 2 requirements on them, Requires Trooper and Requires Heavy Armor. So they have a gear-binding system and also a decay system in place. Not to mention they are using something like a proficency system AND a class requirements system to restrict gear.

Additionally when the guy dies the NPC call gearbox is interactable so with the additional knowledge gleaned above about durability it's higly likely that is a repair NPC.

Also it looks like not all NPCs drop loot, and those that do have loot have a glowing fountain type of particle effect on them that fades once they have been looted.

3 new trooper videos from Gamescon.

Interesting to see in the one from gametrailers - at the 0:49 second mark they open up the skill panel and you can get an idea on some of the mechanics. All of the skills, including the weapon and armor proficencies have a level assigned to them. So it looks like it will be skills and skill training similar to WoW. Additionally Troopers have both medium and heavy armor proficency to start, as such my speculation on armor and armor sets is that for the Trooper, and likely other classes, you will have to train up armor proficencies, and when you choose your AC you will no longer be offered the ability to train up the armor proficency that is not matched with your AC.
